299! I'm officially out of the 300s, and to think I used to be 406!
-
I drink monster sugar fee energy drinks and eat frozen grapes to help me go.
-
Anyone losing their hair yet? Mine is falling out like crazy! :'( I have my 12 week appointment tomorrow, really excited to discuss some things with my NUT and surgeon. I always feel so reassured after leaving from an appointment.
-
I have lost 101 pounds! That's 46 pounds since surgery, and I'm only 6 pounds away from 299. I can't wait to be under 300 pounds, I can't remember the last time I was in the 200s!

Hello everyone. I did pretty good over Easter. I had one bite of my favorite candy ever and it totally got rid of my craving for it. So my sons huge Easter basket did not bother me at all. The one thing that is really getting to me is soda. I'm on vacation and there's been many cases where I was like dying of their and the only thing on hand was soda, not even water, and the first couple times I had a sip it would foam up and hurt going down, now it goes down fine and that really scares me. My NUT said carbonation can stretch out my pouch the same as over eating. Granted I have not drank cups full just sips here and there. I am eating about 1 cup of food at the max. Somedays I barely want to eat and others I seem like bottomless pit but never really go over 1 cup. Okay we'll other than that I am losing 5 lbs a week with little exercise due to being still on vacation but I'm staying as active as I can.

As for all of you that are on a stall, I am to. I've been stuck for so long, then I randomly lost like 4 lbs (probably from all the walking at Disney) and I just weighed myself and I gained almost all of it back. The heck?! How is that even possible. Ugh!! I wish I didn't have a scale down here on vacation cause its so frustrating. In better news, I'm going to Busch Gardens this Thursday, hopefully I can fit on all the rides!
-
So since I'm in Florida I went to Disney with my best friend and I fit on everything. Got some really good food that didn't bother me to eat AND I fit on every single ride there was with extra room. I was so excited, then this morning I woke up and weighted myself and I was 5 lbs down! I have a fitbit which tracks your steps and I ended up taking over 26,000 steps. I had so much fun and I'm glad I was able to keep up with everyone with no problem and didn't have to worry about not fitting on the rides.

I've been at a semi stall for the last 2 weeks now. I figured once I got the okay to workout out the pounds would fly off. I've been kicking butt with my workouts but I have only lost like 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks. Very frustrating. On the upside, I'm visiting Florida in 3 days. Yay!

So I'm from Ohio and am going to Florida in 2 weeks and my best friend is already talking about taking me to amusement parks. Probably either Disney or busch gardens. My question is, anyone know how big is to big for roller coaster rides. The last time I was on a ride at busch gardens was almost 10 years ago and I had no problem fitting but I don't exactly remember my size. I am as of right now 5'9 and 325 lbs. I will probably be 310-315 when I go. Anything helps! I just don't want to waste the money or have to do the walk of shame because I can't fit.

I'm never drinking coffee again. I drank about 1/2 cup of coffee this morning and I dumped it and still feel miserable. Also it has made me do nothing but use the bathroom. Maybe I'll drink less if I ever get constipated but other than that NEVER again. Thought I would share. Hope everyone is doing good. Not much going on in this thread anymore.

I'm doing really well! I had my 6 week check up on Monday and everyone was extremely pleased with my progress. When I get down to my goal weight they might use me as a poster child, which they would show patients my before and after picture and I would speak to people just starting their journey. Sounds like an amazing experience to me. Eating and exercise I have done very well and I am starting to really feel like a normal human again, slowly though! I've had a ton of NSVs, which is the best feeling in the world!! Also, I'm visiting Florida in less than 2 weeks and I get to see my best friend for the first time in 2 years, he's going to be shocked when he sees me! How's everyone else doing? Not many posts on here lately. Hope everyone is doing awesome. Highest weight; 406 lbs Surgery date; 355 lbs 6 weeks out; 322 lbs.

I'm officially 80 lbs down! That a loss of 30 lbs since surgery. Heck yeah! On a different note, can I acknowledge how much I hate dumping. I always vomit and then get the shakes and sweats and feel like crap. Why can't I just throw up and get it over with. Lol if only!

Things just take time. I'm almost 6 weeks out and eating is like a chore now. I get hungry, I eat, and I'm done. But in in the beginning I felt like I was going to starve to death. I cried so much because I wanted to eat something so bad. Once you get into soft foods you will definitely feel the satisfaction of chewing and being full from a little amount of food. Don't worry about it to much, I thought the same thing but I'm doing good now!
-
Yes I get very bad chest and abdominal pains if it drink to much or to fast. I seem to be taking way bigger sips than I did right after surgery but my body definitely tells me when I'm doing something wrong. I know what you mean I wish I could just chug a whole glass of something. I hate taking little sips especially when I'm super thirsty!

Way to go Erin!
-
I've been able to eat 2 to 3 oz of meat and like 1/4 of something with it. I think I may be eating more than everyone else especially for 5 weeks. I know your not supposed to compare to others but it freaks me out. I'm so scared to stretch out my pouch.

I had a major non scale victory today. I took my 2 year old to the park today and instead of walking around and just keeping an eye on him I was able to slide on the slide with him! He couldn't stop laughing and was ecstatic and I seriously almost cried that I could do these things now and because I can he enjoyed himself that much more. Oh what a good day. I can't wipe the smile off my face. I haven't been able to fit on a slide in years!

Omg Erin are we the same person?! I have been extremely bratty lately. Everything gets on my nerves, I can go from happy to extremely annoyed or bitchy in like 2 secs or some days I just wake up angry and resentful and am like that all day. It's awful cause I have a 2 1/2 year old son and he loves to push my buttons and lately I'm just not for it. I seem to throw as many fits as he does lately. I know he he doesn't understand and won't remember mommy being so emotional and crazy but it still makes me feel horrible. Also the territorial thing over food, yes yes yes! I even cleaned out a cabinet and part of the fridge and freezer for "my stuff". I bought this pulled pork stuff the other night and made it for myself while everyone else had steak and It was delicious and granted it would have taken me 3 or 4 days to eat it all but I woke up the next day and it was gone and I flipped out. What the hell, everyone ate a huge steak and loaded baked potato and you STILL have to eat my healthy food which doesn't taste quite as good good as half the stuff in the cabinets or fridge! I guess that's a lot of jealousy and resentment towards others eating. I mean if we can't have what they are eating then NO they can't have what we are eating. That also seems kinda bratty but hey whatever!

Dreaming, you should not feel pathetic! I know that feeling of desperately missing food all to well. I think for the first 3 weeks I would see ANY type of food and just think to myself "ohhhh that looks so good!" Even when I was shopping I would check out at the counter and see all the candy bars and just break down and I rarely ever wanted a candy bar before surgery. It does get better though! I'm almost 5 weeks out and my family so far has had so much fast food and we even had a birthday which I had to watch everyone eat cake and it didn't bother me which is crazy cause I lovvvvvee me some cake! You just have to remember things take time! I was right where you are and I thought it was never going to get better but it did. Little by littlw, you got this girl. Just remember how badly you wanted this change before it happened, that's what I focus on. As for everyone else I hope all is well. I will be 5 weeks on Tuesday. I'm doing pretty well other than no drinking while I eat. The biggest habit I have yet to break. It even gives me horrible pain and I still seem to catch myself doing it. On the plus side I'm down 73 lbs which is 23 lbs since surgery. Thought I would have lost more but I'll take it!

How much protein are you getting daily?

We'll I'm almost 5 weeks out and can eat almost anything. I had to do protein shakes in the beginning until I was able to eat food. -

I eat a lot of high protein meat, mainly for dinner. The only thing I really do is put unflavored Protein powder in my eggs every morning, if I switch out my eggs I will have a Greek yogurt for lunch. When I went shopping I looked at almost everything I bought and made sure I bought lots of high protein and low sugar/ fat free stuff. -

My NUT told me to get 60-68g of protein in daily. I'm only 4 weeks out but I am already getting my protein in with just food, No protein shakes needed. -
I have such a hard time eating slow and especially taking sips of drinks. I find myself taking gulps sometimes and it instantly gives me abdominal pain. If I eat to fast everything will come back up. I'm experiencing dumping so bad lately. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but everything seems to bother me. I either get pain or really hot and clamy with nausea or it comes straight back up. And to top it all off I'm at another stall. I figured with all this puking I would have lost weight.

I had something crazy happen to me yesterday! Way before surgery I bought me a pair of running shoes to wear while walking on the treadmill. Well I went back to Walmart yesterday and they had a bunch of shoes on sale so I thought I should get another pair exactly like that ones I have. I tried them on, same brand style size and everything were just a different color and they were to big! I wore an 11 and I tried on 10 and still to big. I can no fit in a size 9! What?! I didn't think that was even possible. How did my feet shrink. Lol, I can tell though in most my slip on shoes that they come off and on way to easily.

I need liquid ideas! I'm still not fond of plain water. I have crystal light iced tea, lemonade, pink lemonade, and fruit punch. I'm also drinking flavored water off and on but I'm so tired of this! Any other low calorie/sugar drink ideas. I don't like watered down juice or anything like that. I'm doing good with food but I want other things to drink.
