i wanted to keep quiet otherwise everyone will be judging you all the time

so are you really happy you want the operation? its a big change in life. I had the band fitted so if all went wrong i could get it reserved. What do the rest of the family think about the op. I didnt tell anyone until after my op and then it ws limited. It does get boring repeating to everyone why and when.
-
Hi so how are you getting on after the operation? I had a band fitted 5 years ago. Its been a journey lots of ups then lots of downs. Andrew
-
hello great talking to you , Im fie its interesting watching how medical care differs this side of the Atlantic. I paid for my op so total was approx $7.500 dollars in total that included after care plus life dietition care. One thing i didn't find useful was the dietitian, found their advice was ok but limited. Weather here has been mild over the last few days so been out in the gardening digging a tree up. Think I got sufficient exercise thanks!!

hello. Well a new day and some reasonable eating habits today We need to get that weight down. I'm normally the last person on the earth to give advice about good eating habits. !!! I haven't followed any particular scheme or regimen After the band was fitted the weight slowly dropped off. Took some years but here I am 5 st lighter.

Hello. Hope your well today. So young lady. Stop binge eating your putting. All that good work to waste. Plus the more you eat the longer it's going to be before the insurance pays up
-
Nothing worse than hanging around waiting for something to happen. Well impressed they are making you go through all those examinations with doctors ect. Well im going to bed now it’s starts to get late here and I have work in the morning. So have a great day young lady and hopefully speak soon. Andrew

So. When’s the next op planned
-
So what’s going wrong. When I was pre op they where more interested in my money ! I only had a pre op appointment then straight into surgery. Admittedly I didn’t have any other health issues thankfully. I must admit when I decided to have the op I just wanted to get on with it. Only had to wait approx 4 weeks. How much do you need to loose. I was a little worried about food prior and post operation minced up food ukkkk. As it turned out it wasn’t to bad. Always have the final goal in your mind. Just think how great you will look and feel once the weight goes. Only downside you have to go out and purchase loads of new clothes. Andrew

Hi. So where are you in the process. I live in the Uk. Had a band fitted 5 years ago. Seems to be going ok. Like most people you get your ups and downs so a buddy is a great idea someone to hold your hand so to speak. Anyway if you want to chat I’m here. Andrew.

Hi. Well I’m 5 years into my band. I get them generally after drinking hot drinks. -

Hi. Have been banded for 4 years now and only recently I have felt so so cold in the winter months. I put lots of layers on but I’m frozen to the core. Am I the only one ??

Hi. Well I was exactly like you except I didn't get all upset if I didn't get rid of weight. First year one pound one month the next maybe one and half the next one off. The main thing is it's a loss two years down the line like me. I'm nearly 4 stone less. They key I found was get that band filled. Small amounts each time. And just relax about it. Stress causes problems with the band. It feels like everything is very tight. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
