Hi all. Had my first fill last Tuesday, I think the nurse used a blunt needle! Was slightly stingy I have list 14 lds since pre op , that's mainly. Due to pre and post op diet. Have found the hard way that if you don't follow the 20 20 20 rule unpleasant things happen. Next fill in 4 weeks time with luck,, Think I have 9 ml injected in total. Well done to all February banders

Hi everyone we seem to all have reached the same level, im starting to get hungery at night times, first fill week wednesday. One thing I have noticed is that im so tired at night time, normally i can keep going until 2300 without a problem but now 2100 im wacked.

hi i get my first fill in two weeks time. Did loads of gardening yesterday and today feel very sore should have taken it a little less. My port is still sore.

Hi April im happy to say no. no such problems yet, how long does it take for the pain in the port area keep on going for.

Oh yes This diet has upset the internal workings slightly, anyone else had problems or is it me? Glad of sena pod!!!

Hi Looking at everyones comments I think we all have the same issues. Its been one week from the op, having port pains most of the day, and have to be careful with shirts jumpers ect as they rub and make the stich areas sensitive. Food still on liquids only until Friday. Dont know how much weight I have lost due to this diet but trousers are now slack! had to go out and buy some belts today.

Dont think they should be still bleeding after this time. The 1/4 biy is the port i think. Its also the most sore part so far. I would get the bleeding parts checked if i was you.

Are you incisions glued? if so try not to get them wet for approx 5 days. Keep area as clean as possible. Im drinking 3 slime fast supp drinks a day plus loads of perperment tea(helps trapped wind), then water nornal Tea and coffee. Walking helps clear gas.

Im sure you have been told but perpermint tea is very good for wind pains. It works.

When I was taken down to the op room I was lying on the table being wired up! thinking what on earth am i doing here, next thing i know was waking up in my room. Have been told to take vitamins every day from now on. Are you all doing the same? First fill should be in 6 weeks time. Thanks for your support

Hi glad everything was ok, had lap band fitted yesterday, I took one hour in recovery apparently, didn't feel great for two hours when I did come to, but no unexpected gas pain like you. Putting shoes on slightly troublesome. We have to stay in hospital for one night following banding , but felt ok in fact I drove the nurses mad by constantly walking up and down the ward, and drinking loads of peppermint t tea, hope all is well.

Hello. Just joined the banded gang. Glad it's over sore around the middle but to be expected. Now on liquid diet for two weeks then sloppy food for two weeks then normal food. As of date no gas pain yet!!!! Hope you all are ok.

Hello im sitting here in the UK reading all your posts about the lap band. with a operation date of 20th February 14. Im getting so confussed about this lap band thing, all the pre op posts on this site are very interesting, informative but for me im getting into a slight pre op tizzy. As the day approaches im self questioning myself, should I be doing this, am I that bad that I need a operation. I like most have been yo yo dieting most of my life so now its time to take hold of this weight issue I think! Whats driving me forward with this is my health. Im fine right now but if i dont change, well what can I look forward to High blood presure, diabetis, joint problems. I think there are more pros than cons with this procedure. Can anyone tell me whats with this "im having bad gas" issue i keep reading about on these blogs. Over here we sometimes call it wind. Is it very common post op does it last long, and can you take medication for it? Pre op diet starts Friday, this is one thing that has stopped me having this op ages ago. Mush food, ect for two weeks not sure i will cope with it.

Hi exactly the same issue as you, im due to be banded on 21 Feb, was told that its possible to return after 3 days but its normal for a weeks rest. So for myself I wil be having 4 days of work then i must return.
