I'm right there with you. Had an argument with my sister and before I knew it I had taken a huge bite of Choc cake ! Why did I do that, I don't even like sweets. I'm still working on better ways to deal with stuff.

So glad to hear from you. It's looks like you are working hard to stay on track. Don't be so hard on yourself. Exercise is exercise even if it's a little at work. Sometimes I do better extending my exercise on weekends when I have more time. Keep up the good work Jenelle ! -
Way everyone I'm 12 days post op and my food plan says no caffeine . I've been doing fine in decaf but am wondering when I can have it again. Mostly I miss my ice teas...

TWO weeks out .... Chime in my May buds!

Also sleeved on 5/5 and feeling better everyday. I am also in purée food and enjoying more variety since u can only stand to drink one shake a day . I have to remind myself to stay within the 1/4 cup serving or my tummy definitely reminds me I'm steady on the weigh loss ( down 10 lbs) since surgery day. Glad I did the preop diet because that helped me lose 7lbs before surgery. Good luck everyone! -
Ok all good suggestions. I think I'll ask my my doctor since I really don't have an appointment to see the NUT again . I don't think I really need the caffeine but I like green tea and that only comes caffeinated

Staying on full liquids sound like good advice. Regarding the popcorn I had a similar issue last week. I went to a movie and knew the popcorn would trigger me so I had my husband get me a small cup of ice. It worked great at distracting me and I suddenly realized I was really thirsty!

I had the same headaches but don't worry they get better by day 4-5 -
Omg I'm so glad I saw this thread because I'm totally freaking out! Earlier in the week it was taking me over two hours to drink my protein shake without discomfort . Today I drank it in an hour and never felt any discomfort at all. Drinking water is also a lot easier! Have I messed this up already? I'm 11 days post op today :/

I everyone. I am 10 days post op and I am every itchy ever since the doctor took off the steri strips. Any suggestions ?

Thank you all for the feedback. I was really starting to get worried( still a little). I guess it's also been difficult because I never take so much time off work and just sit at home . I have a pretty busy life with my son and a huge family, so to see them run around going on with their life is difficult. I know it will ALL be worth it in the end. I'm going to a Mother's Day brunch with my husbands family today and they don't know I've had WLS so I'm kind of worried as to how I'm getting through this ! I can't eat any of the bagels lox n stuff they will be having. Omg wish me luck!

Is it normal to feel anxiety as a result of this journey. I am 5 days post op and have started feeling increasingly anxious. I am still adjusting to my diet but have been doing ok. I also have a family who is very supportive...so my question is, has anyone else experienced this. I would appreciate any feedback

I live right across the street from an elementary school so I have been taking short walks(15 min) 1-2x/day. I didn't think such a short walk would help but it has -

I've been having a tough time too mostly due to the rumbling in my stomach every time i sip water. Taking a short walk today made me feel better. Hope everyone is feeling a little better as time passes -
Hey everyone I am 2 days post op and just started drinking my protein shakes. I hear weird sounds every time I eat , is this normal? When does this stop? In already bloated so the rumble in my tummy is not feeling good.
-
Ok will try the walking , thanks

Jenelle how did you get through these first few days? I feel awful. Had surgery 5/5 and came home next day incision pain is tolerable but my stomach is so upset. I'm not sure if it's gas or the shake I tried to drink this morning. What made things better for you? -
Hi all surgery is 5/5, and have been onliquid diet for 6 days. Constipation has gotten progressively worse, any advice?
