  1. So doctor’s orders are 64oz fluids and 80 grams of protein. I make it through mornings ok but day 4 and I can’t even come CLOSE to 64 ounces. I get through a slow 16 all morning and then heartburn sets in. Anyone else have this issue? Are the numbers that critical the first few days? I don’t want to force it for fear I’ll want to puke, but 30 ounces seems low.
  2. Morning all, I was sleeved Tuesday. Awful nausea coming out and spit up a couple things of red blood. No big deal given I was in the hospital. Stayed all day yesterday no problem. Drank 2 protein shakes and was sent home. Now I’ve been up since 2:00 nauseas and puking what looks to be old blood. Anyone else have this happen and is it something critical that the surgeon needs to know?

What Should I Tell My Boss

I guess I understand the desire for secrecy but as a manager I'm going to be up front about the procedure and look forward to educating anyone on the process. I'm treating the band as a form of artificial accountability and for me accountability is a huge part of this whole process. If I held myself accountable all these years I wouldn't have ballooned so the "new lifestyle" will raise some eye brows. I think it'll be easier to be honest and cause less anxiety long term.

    New here!

I see this arena doesn't have much activity but I will use the RI forum for my own diary as I work through this process. Today I see Dr. Roye for my preliminary consult with him. I had the seminar this past week and am looking forward to it. Wondering what to expect if anyone is out there. Mixed reviews from the site were it seems some aren't able or willing to make the behavioral adjustments. Trying to represent little RI. Look forward to hearing from anyone.
