I haven't had a BM yet either, Lauren. Been slowly passing gas, but that's about it. -

I was wondering the same, Leigh Anne. I have no desire to eat or drink right now. Every sip I take of a liquid hits my stomach and feels like exploding lava. It's kind of deterring me from wanting to eat or drink, but I'm pushing through cuz I know I have to. -

Pureed protein ideas?

Thanks, MC. That's what I was thinking. They're scrambled eggs - why do they need to be puréed?!?! Then I was thinking of hard boiling an egg and doing like an egg salad type of thing. -

I had my sleeve surgery on Monday, so I'm just getting started on this journey. Thanks for the input! The surgeon gave us a book with a few ideas in it. One of them was to purée scrambled eggs with heavy cream. Are scrambled eggs okay to eat (in your humble opinions) without pureeing them? That recipe just makes me want to gag! Lol -

Thanks everyone! Glad to see I'm "normal". Lol Jen, I thought this surgery was going to be super easy compared to others (c section, etc) I had too. I just wasn't prepared for it, I guess. Glad you're feeling great! Can't wait to get to that point! You guys are seriously the best and I super appreciate the support and feedback!!! Thanks again!!! -
Hi all! I'm all ready to go here. I have my IV. Just waiting for anesthesia and my surgeon to come see me. I should be in the OR in about an hour. I just wanted to say thanks for everyone's support and help during this preop phase! Can't wait to be (and for all of you to be) on the other side!! I'll check in as soon as I can.

Hey All. I'm feeling a little better every day. I didn't post much because I didn't want my experience ruining anyone else's. I had a hard time after surgery. It was bad. The day after was one of the worst days of my life. I was going through the same things as Super. Violently dry heaving, severe nausea, severe pain. Today I am 3 days post op and feeling a ton better. Question - when you drink anything, no matter the temp or flavor - when it hits your stomach, do you get a weird, almost painful sensation? My dr says it's normal, but I wanted to hear if anyone else is experiencing this too? -

I'm getting a bit nervous now. Just for the anesthesia part. I get super sick from it. I keep getting emotional too. I know I'll be okay. Just scared for my baby girl if things don't go well. At this time tomorrow, I'm hoping I'm waking the halls and not throwing up. Fingers crossed -
having surgery tomorrow!

I'm tomorrow at 1:30 pm. It's getting very real now! I'm soooo excited to start this next chapter of my life, but I'm nervous about the anesthesia and stuff. I get terribly sick from it so I hope I'm not throwing up all day tomorrow. Good luck to everyone!! -

Happy V Day, All! What time is your surgery on Monday, Sher? I have to be at the hospital @ 11:30 and am supposed to have surgery @ 1:00. I'm getting a bit nervous again. Today sucked ass. Everyone is eating chocolate and I'm just chewing sugarless gum. But then I think of why I'm doing this and how I got here. It's such a mind game! -

They get scared and project it wrong. Guys aren't adept at showing how they feel and project it on to other things. I'm sorry you're having to deal with it right now. Sure you're doing this for you, but you're doing it for him too. To spend a longer, happier, healthier life with him. (((Hugs))) Thanks for the support! I really appreciate it -

Hey!!!! How's it going for u so far? You hanging in there? Hey!!! Doing good so far, thanks! At least doing well on the preop stuff. Having problems with the hubs. We have not been getting along lately. It doesn't have anything to do with my surgery. He's been pretty supportive so far - except when we were fighting Sunday and he told me that I chose this and I did this to myself, which is true. It just pissed me off. -

I've been doing my preop since last Wednesday and I was down 14 lbs as of this morning. My surgeon has us drink two Protein shakes a day (from their office only), and we are to eat one meal a day of 4 oz of lean protein and a 1/2 cup of nonstarchy vegetables. We are also allowed to have 2 servings each of broth (beef or chicken), sugar-free Jello, and sugar-free popsicles. It's been pretty easy to follow. We were told if we don't follow it, they might possibly not do the surgery on us. Cuz if he gets in there and our livers are too fatty, he'll pull out and close up. We have a real no-nonsense bariatric coordinator. I love her. I think we need someone to be blunt with us. At least I do. I quit smoking December 2nd, so I'm feeling pretty good between that and the new diet. I swear I have more energy.
