I began my weight loss journey close to 3 years ago. I was pre approved and my husbands company changed insurance and I lost my ability to pay for it. I began to save money. Well, long story short, I had the gastric sleeve procedure on Thursday, January 16th. Today is Day 3 after surgery and I am in shock how well I feel. Don't get me wrong, I didn't sleep very well last night, and I am VERY sore at two of my laparoscopic sites but overall I feel good. My diet is progressing quicker than I thought (I am able to drink more ounces more often) . Would I do this again? Right this moment YES!!! Trust me I have had my share of scary moments and even started to give up a couple times but I have a great support system and a relationship with Christ that has completely pulled me through the dark moments. I have no doubt there will be moments of discomfort yet to come but I can say I'm thankful to be on the journey to a healthy me! I've lost 16 pounds since the 2 weeks before surgery! I'm actually looking forward to my future! Angela
