I am in BC and waited about 18 months before getting my call in January to start the program at Garrat. I will be going for my first surgeon consult with dr. Sampath at the end of July. They have been very thorough and I have had everything from bloodwork to sleep apnea testing done. I just had my 2nd appt. With physical activity counsellor today and have had 3 nutritionist appointments so far. I feel that they are really making sure I am ready for this before I get this done. Looking forward to the day I get my surgery date!!

The program is still alive!! I have been in it since January of this year (2014) and finally have my first consult with Dr. Sampath in July. I have been going through all of the testing and consultations. Will keep you all updated!!

Snohogal...I have been lurking on this site for a while now and your post has finally brought me out of hiding. You pretty much just wrote out my whole list. I am going to copy it on the days where I question if this is the right thing for me to do. Hugs
