How did you handle telling everyone about your surgery
NisceeB replied to vincereautmori's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I didn't want to tell anyone either but of course one person told another. I went to Tijuana and I have a lot of people telling me how reckless and stupid I was to do that. I have a friend that tells me home great their boyfriends are because they would spend money at the best places money could buy. Her boyfriend would never let her go to Tijuana let alone have major surgery in a strip mall. I made a decision for my health and I thought I was pretty brave. I so wish my friends would stop judging me! -
I love in the Westminster area. I was sleeved in Tijuana on January 10. My surgery went well but because of a doctor directed medication order I ended up with a major clot and dead intestine. Has anyone else had extra complications? I get very down that I can't go to the gym. I can't wear a pair of jeans because I have a wound vac on. Anyone else in Colorado been through something similar?

I have had some major issues since I had my sleeve done on January 10th in Tijuana. I ended up with a large blood clot in the vessel to my liver. I also had to have a foot of my small intestines removed. Having both of these surgeries in less than 2 weeks has left me weak and malnourished. I need some help with the easiest to digest protien that will be easy on my stomach. I fell and popped out all of my staples so I have a wound vac on. I have to admit I have been really down, I didn't think I could take one more minute of pain. Anyone have any advice for food choices and a little motivation? Thanks, NisceeB

Sometimes you forget about one step at a time. I can't imagine a 5 month stay at the hospital, that must have been horrible. Thank you for taking time out of your day and responding, it means a lot to know I am not alone.

Thank you so much!

Thank you very much, I have a few protein supplements I am going to try. I think when I am stronger I will be able to heal much faster.

Oh my gosh I love Zumba, best exercise ever. Don't worry about the steps, you will learn to listen to the beat of the music and what steps go with them. The better you get the more you LOVE it I am 11 days out of surgery and I can't wait to get back to Zumba. By your 4th or 5th class you will have learned so much and remember nobody looks at you, they are looking at the instructor.

Before And After Gastric Sleeve Surgery Photos
NisceeB replied to StacyS's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I put it in my mind that if I wanted results I needed to stick to whatever I was told to do. In 4 more days and I will be able to have some soft food. I look at this as my new life and I want to start off right. After your surgery it is a lot easier to stick to the diet because clear liquids is basically all you can handle. Try not to worry, pretty soon this won't be an issue. GOOD LUCK, you can do it! -
Slvrsax thank you for the encouragement! May we both keep working hard and seeing results!!!

Well in all honesty I don't have a doctor, just lost my healthcare coverage and job. I am following my post- op instructions to the "T" because I am so afraid of any complications. Maybe I was wrong weighing myself over the last 6 days. After being 140 pounds overweight for the last year i think it made me want to see something good for once. The scale is hidden for a week at a time, that is the most I can promise.

I am 9 days out of surgery and have lost 28 pounds. Today was the first day I haven't lost anything. But wow 28 pounds in less than 2 weeks, pretty happy. My daughter will be hiding the scale until Friday. I really want to try on some clothes but my stomach is so bloated, can anyone tell me when this horrible bloating will go away. This is my first post????
