Can you get a maternity belt or the tummy sleeve at a store like Walmart? I live in a small hick town in the Midwest. Not many local options.

My dietician says no more than 1200 calories a day, MAX! Plus you want to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. :-) best of luck to you.

I'm also looking for some comfortable "underwear" that will support my belly. I have side and back problems due to my weight loss. Something that is affordable would be nice. Thank you. :-)

I had my first meeting with the Dr. On Nov. 26, 2013 and my surgery was April 7th, 2014. So 5 months. :-)

The first couple of weeks are the worse. Things get better. Remember all of the positive reasons you had the surgery. You just went through a big surgery and are expected to hurt. My best advice is to push through the pain and walk, walk, walk!!! The circulation helps promote healing. So does protein and water. Hang in there friend! You'll get through this!

Well, I almost made my goal! I am currently 287.6. Maybe next challenge ~wink~

My side area is still hurting. On a scale of 0 pain-10 extreme pain, I'm at a constant 4. Calling my surgeon tomorrow to see what she thinks. Ughhhhh! I pray it's not even sleeve related. I haven't had any physical problems with the sleeve. I'm 7 and a half weeks out. I'll report back what she had to say.

Is the pain kind of in your lower left side/back? I have pain there also. As if I've pulled some muscles. I am 7 weeks out.

My doctor said the airport detectors won't go off. The staples are titanium steel. I was also told after 6 weeks I could start doing crunches and lifting weights. If it hurts stop and try again a couple weeks later. :-) Best wishes!

I know! My doctor is always reminding me the the sleeve is only a tool and I still have to control my diet and exercise. I have fallen but I will get back up. Good luck to you :-)

Sadly I over ate pizza tonight :-( I had a whole piece of pizza and half of a bread stick from pizza hut, PLUS the toppings off of another piece of pizza. I was so uncomfortable for a few hours. It was the first time I really over ate. I ate too fast ;-( I hope I learned my lesson. I'm 7 weeks out Monday. Please don't chastise me. I know I did wrong and I am going to do my best NEVER to do it again.

I also can consume large amounts of liquids but only about 4-5oz of solids. I will be 7 weeks out Monday. Today I over ate by 2.10oz and although I didn't get sick I was very uncomfortable for a cpl hours. I have to digitally weigh my food. Your brain doesn't tell you your full until about 20 minutes later which is why we are suppose to take our time and chew really well. I learned my lesson and I'm very disappointed in myself. Liquid may stay in your stomach but only for a short while. Best wishes!

Dr. Hawver is my doctor. I had surgery at Washington, MO. Mercy hospital on 4/7/2014. I will have been sleeved for 7 weeks memorial day. Down 30 pounds ( maybe more) I only weigh once a week if that. Anyone want to be friends? I'm a 33, swf. Of like to find a local friend or 2 for support. Physical and mental support. Maybe work out buddies? Message me :-) P.s. Dr.Hawver is a great surgeon. I had minimal pain and no major problems. :-)

I am taking biotin! What should I do? Lower my dose? Stop taking all together? I'm using biotin because my hair is thinning. Ugh! So many things! If it's not one thing it's another! Gotta get this new life under control! Overwhelming at times. One day at a time though. Thank you for pointing that out.

Change in diet? I could see having acne when I ate 3000+ calories of carbs and fats a day giving me awful breakouts, but not how and what I eat now! What about pro-active? Has anyone used this product? Did it work for you?

I really need to know a good facial cleanser for oily skin! I am breaking out worse than I ever have! Even as a teen! I will wash my face and 30-45 minutes later my forehead is oily again! My Dr. said this acne was not brought on from my surgery but I personally think that's BS!! The acne didn't start until after surgery! Please help! I don't want a bangin' body with a zitty face. :-(
