At 35 years old with 2 small children, I weighed over 300 pounds, was taking medication and insulin for diabetes and high blood pressure. My pregnancies were life threatening and I remember a doctor telling me all my complications had to do with my being obese.
I made the decision to have vsg on december 4th 2013. I had the surgery in Dominican Republic, where I am from. I lost 18 pounds in one week, and have continued to lose weight every week. I am learning about nutrition, healthy eating habits and fitness. Would love to share my experience and learn from other sleevers.
