Ok well I am new. Dont know if i can not weigh but hey i can sure try right? This mornings weight was 235!!!

Last week, as i entered the operating room, they put me on the table and i said, "you better hurry up and put me to sleep before I get up and leave." See my point? It's normal, we all do it. I am so thankful, I love it so far!

Hmmm i did a search and couldnt find it!!! But I am defintely interested!!!

I had my surgery done on May 31. I made the decision ratherly quickly to have it down. I first started looking into in mid-april. Well since my orientation meeting in April, I am down 22 lbs!!! AWESOME DECISION!!! GOOD LUCK

Hello, I am 5 days pre-op. I am feeling well. I am just not sure if I am drinking enough. I am supposed to be on 3 meals of protein shakes, about 4 oz per meal. And clear liquids in between. I am trying with the clears, and not doing too well with the shakes. They taste worse now than before surgery. :rolleyes . I have been able to do about 6-8 oz of shakes and maybe 10 oz clear liquids in between. I hope this is enough. They say I have to do shakes and clears for 3 weeks after surgery. Is this the normal? Need some advice, Thanks!!! :nervous

Hmmmm, I wouldn't be too happy if my hubby said that to me. My guess is that he is not overweight? I am not going to bash him, as he is your husband, but geez. It was on YOUR OWN. Banding is a tool and it helped you, as a excersise bike or a diet on a sheet of paper. HMMMMM, no more comments to him!

I cant have yougurt or applesauce or pudding, just clear liquids and shakes. I wonder if i can beg for yogurt lol. Yes that is what they say, they insert the band but do not put saline in until ur first fill. That is what i was told as well. Good luck! I was banded the same day, May 31st. I am sore, especially where the port is. I am having trouble drinking and not feeling "full" even though I have no fluid. Not sure why. The nurse is supposed to call me later. Burping a whole lot when i drink, not sure if it is normal or not!

And I Just Weighed Myself And I Started Out At 253 For This Pre-p Diet Which I Did Awful At, And I Am Down To 245!!!!!

My surgery date is tomorrow and ya'll sure made me feel better. I have asked myself a million times, what am i doing? Have I lost my mind? The answer is, No i havent lost my mind, I have found it. Thats why I have decided to get healthy so I can be there for my girls for years to come and be a happier person. Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF MY NEW LIFE!!!! And I will tell you what, I am about as excited as the days I went in to have my girls!!!!! Thanks, you all are such great support!

Believe me girl, I know what u mean! We aren't failures, we might suck at this liquid diet but we arent failures! If we could diet and stick to it 100%,hmmmm we wouldnt be having WLS, right? You have lost 5 lbs so far, u still have time!!!

OHhhhhh I am in the same boat. It is hard. Tomorrow I have to do all clear liquids bc i am being banded on Tuesday morning. I have tried but not been that successful. I have a BMI of 39, so I hope my liver is fine. When is your band date?

I have totally failed this pre-op diet. Thats it. Plain flat out failed at it. I havent stuck to it. At all. Thats just the plain blunt honest to God truth. My BMI is 39, so I hope my liver is not fatty, and they can still do it laproscopic. I mean I have lost about 7 lbs during the 2 weeks from when I did stick to it. Help me, I feel awful.

I guess I am extremely lucky with my ins. I have bcbs of illonois ppo and I was approved in less than 24 hrs. I have a bmi of 39, and bad knees that they have paid for 2 surgeries. They also pay 100%. I didnt realize that was such a big deal!
