I'm not looking to date but rather a nice "pen pal." Is that even what they are called anymore LOL. I'm looking for male or female friends that I can relate to during my weight loss journey. I was sleeved in May 2014. Almost at goal and feeling somewhat lonely as I don't have anyone in my circle of friends to communicate with. Not looking for a weirdo or someone to get a bunch of emojis from. Just some good and fun conversation. If you're interested in a "buddy" to have good, conversation I am too.

I think you can. I'd like to be a part of that private chat if you would please.

I have the iPad version and cannot locate how to use a private chat. Can someone please share with me how to do that? The web version is probably easier to navigate. I'll check that out later. Thanks everyone! Happy to make new friends.

I was sleeved in May 2014. I've lost 70 lbs. my husband was sleeved at the same time. He's lost closer to 100 lbs. he gets a lot more compliments than I do. I'm noticeable but not as significant as him. He's drawing a lot of attention from female admirers. Two of which he's not ignored. He's started online friendships with them that include some very questionable conversations that I find very inappropriate for a married man. He says he loves me and I have nothing to worry about since he's home with me every day and night. This whole thing makes me sick. I've become very depressed and feel so lonely. Last night I took a handful of pills. Enough that I knew would make me very sick but my daughter ended up taking me to the ER and I am fine. I took two of those same pills tonight hoping they would make me sleep but all I've done is make myself more anxious. Any other couples where the weight loss but a significant strain on their marriage? How do you cope?

No, i wasn't trying to fake anything. I took extra because I just really wanted to sleep. It was early in the day and I wanted to sleep night. I thought it might make me sick but it didn't. Was just wanted to sleep a while to get the ache away for a while.

My husband and I were sleeved on May 21st. Our incisions themselves appear to be healing nicely but my husbands stomach area below the incisions is bruised. Pretty much his whole lower stomach. The skin is not hot or tender to the touch. No fever. He did have a hernia repaired. Anyone else have this kind of bruising after surgery?

Hi, and thank you for the welcome! I've been really enjoying swimming too and try go 5-6 times a week and walk about 30 minutes at least 4-5 times a week. To add some resistance to my swimming routine I started using some flippers and some swimming gloves and I can totally feel the difference. My husband uses wrist weights when he swims and he's also noticed a difference.

Congrats all! I was sleeved on May 21st. I am down 37 pds. Actually felt like I was a little slow but after reading others successes I feel more in line. Hunger is becoming an issue already. I was hoping it would be further out. I'll just have to keep control of it and stick with my exercise plan.

More fiber. -
The Bariatric Advantage vitamins made me very sick to my stomach. I tried it on several occasions to be sure and each time I felt very sick. My husband could take them fine but he didn't like the taste. I went to Centrum chewables and those go down great. I'm looking forward to my first set of blood work to see how my levels are.

Leg twitches and arm tingling

I take a B12 supplement each day in addition to two multivitamins. I best make that appointment with my PCP. Tired of sleepless nights......zzzzzzz. -
I was sleeved on May 21st. In the evening I have been getting a slight numb tingling feeling in my legs and arms. This gets more intense once I get to bed. My limbs feel like they are all twisted up and ready to pop. The only relief is to get out of bed and walk around and stretch. I'm not sure if this is related to my surgery. Anyone else get this after surgery?

Very helpful. Thank you.

That and it also helped condition me for my new diet. I feel like my body has started to adjust to a new way of eating.
