thanks for all the replies... i didnt sleep good last night because i was worried something was wrong.. I also remember when i went for my last fill that it was lower so i was scared that something happened to make me feel it now but i guess losing 42 pounds would be the reason i now feel it LOL.. I guess it is a good thing it just freaks me out a little..thanks again to everyone;-)

I am exactly the same as you just look at my signiture.. i am 5'2'' and i weighed 195...I have never been so happy with a decision in my life... i struggled with this weight up and down for years and now i can say i am finally on the down side for good!!... I did have to self pay but i got a really good deal and it was well worth it..If you are really serious about losing and keeping that weight off then go for it you wont regret it... just a quick nothe though.. dont think this is the easy way out because it isnt... i have lost over 40 pounds in 4 months but i exersize every day and i watch everthing i eat most of the time... you do eat less but you still have to diet the band is just a tool to help!!!

I get shoulder pain when i am gassy ....If i feel the pain i usually had eaten something gassy which is alot of things since my surgery...I dont know how often you are getting it but maybe it is gas... i know thats what it was for me right after surgery and it is the same pain now!!

maybe thats it... i will schedule another fill and see if it happens again

I am definatly not losing 2 pounds a week!!! i seem to lose a few pounds 1 week every month eating the same as i always do but for some reason one week out of the month i drop 3-5 pounds...it is definatly going slower now..i dont think i am any tighter around my period either just some days more than others... its weird something that i ate with no problem one day will give me a problem another...i am so confused i dont want to get a fill and not be able to eat at all..i guess i will make an appointment and see what my doctor says..if anyone else has any expierences please tell me!!

i got my first fill yesterday.. came home had some soup...heartburn...i only had coffee this morning and that was ok..i had a cheese stick for lunch... heartburn...i just had a chicken thigh for dinner and major heartburn!...i definatly feel restriction and nothing is actually comming up but i have major heartburn... HELP!!

my brother in law is on topomax for seizures from epolepsy(spelling)..he also has cerebral paulsy..i never heard of it to lose weight.. he is not skinny either so it hasnt made him lose any weight!!

have you tried the no pudge fudge bars? they will satisfy a sweet craving!!

I am so excited i am not obese any more.. my BMI is 28.7 which puts me in the overweight catagory and headed for normal:banana :banana

Thanks everyone!! I cant wait to actually be normal but i will take overweight for now. It is such a great feeling and everyone is noticing now. It has been alot of hard work but it is worth it!!!

i agree with jack i had very little sticky stuff and it just came off in time...it wasnt like i was going to wear a bikini or anything so i didnt worry about it and it just came off in time

it will get better just hang in there!!!... i had a lot of gas too..it is funny how it really feels like you have a baby in there especially when you have a lot of gas and the big blob on your side stars moving from all the gas LOL... i can laugh about it now since i am over that but i feel for you:cry

im guessing that you havent had a fill yet... everything will change once you get a fill or 2... you are probably wide open in general right now so it is no suprise that you are getting hungrier during your period..before any fill and at 5 weeks it is just like not even having a band because your swelling has most likely gone down and you are wide open!

i had that feeling for atleast 2 weeks and i didnt have any infection.. i kept saying i felt like i had a baby on my left side .. trust me it is normal and fine... give yourself a little more time to heal..

i was banded april 21st and i am down 34 pounds... it is going really slow now but my doc wont fill me anymore since i am still losing...i exersize every day but i do have bad things to eat evry now and then...

Why does my nose get stuffed up when i am full??? It is the strangest thing... Every time i eat a realativly big meal(which really isnt big)... I mean like a meal out at a restaurant i get a stuffy nose when i am really full... I asked my doctor and she had no clue so I thought i would try you guys and see if this happens to anyone else??

i am the same way... some days i can eat so much more than other days... i had never thought it had anything to do with the weather but it definatly could!

i love love love sushi, has anyone attempted to try sushi since being banded..i dont know what i will do without it..i know it is too soon now but is there a chance once i am on solids????

Hey Kathy...I got 2cc on my first fill also and i was also very tight for the first week...it got better though and now i am fine with great restriction on the first try...can you get in some mushies at all??...i remember calling the doctor and she told me this was what restriction felt like...i could eat but very little..and it got better with time.

i quit 2 days before my surgery when i had my pre op and the anathesiologist scared me...i had no intensions of quitting for good , but the night before my surgery i said to my husband that if i could make it without smoking until i came home from the hospital i was going to try to quit...i made it and havent smoked since... i think what also got me was that all my tests came back good..like my chest x-ray which i was very worried about......i think i just said if everything is ok still i better stop now...it has been almost 3 months and i cant believe it... and the best part is i quit smoking and LOST 30 pounds... how many people can say that LOL!!
