Hi guys My name is MIke! Im new to bariatric pals but certainly not new to the bariatric world. I am currently working on getting a lap band to sleeve revision and going through all of my prelims now. I have met with my surgeon and decided that I also want to get my sleep apnea under control before surgery so I have a sleep study and fitness test 1/17. I'm just trying to dot all my i's and cross all my t's until I know what my date is going to be. Hopefully I will find that out soon. I had a lap band done in 2005 and I will be the first to say that I was no where near as compliant as I should've been so it was largely ineffective. I started out strong but getting stuck with a needle for adjustments didn't got over well and I little by little just stopped. I amd more determined than ever as I am now going to be 40 this year and feel it is time to stop cheating myself. I eat pretty healthy already but need help with the ability to say when so the restriction will be a great help. I can't wait to start to lose weight and take pressure off of bad knees and ankles to allow me to exercise and rejoin an active lifestyle. I have read several posts here and I think this is a great place to meet people and share in all of our paths to get healthy. Good luck to you all
