I know I belong to this club -it has been a year ago this week and only down 40lbs- and have never been so depressed don't know what to do - WHAT am i doing wrong - exercise 3x's a week at Curves -have had two fills (have a vg band) but just so discourage don't know what to do....... need major help - for the way I fill - feel I am doing something wrong which makes me more depressed -to go back at end of May and feel Dr will be upset - he wasn't at the end of FeB. but what could he say -does anyone have any suggestions - as to what to do -

Greater fill capacity - is that bad - will I not losing as quickly as others - oh well to late to cry abt it now LOL - Thank you for answering

Hi everyone first thread since surgery - Thursday 4/28 feeling really good today - hardly any pain now - and doing ok - just wanted to know my doctor Dr. Caylor - said he put in the new VG band instead of the regular - have no idea what that is - and why he felt I needed a different band any answers from anyone would be appreciated -have been reading the threads and love them all - so helpful - getting a little hungry - but know my nutritionalist said what i would actually be craving would be something to chew - AND she was correct - so tried of the mushy - want something i can get my teeth into -she suggest crunchy peanut - well maybe that would work -NOT- - but hanging in there- was kinda worried abt the VG band - like was there something wrong once he got in there etc - ya'know just wondered -you with all that I had read i was prepared and I think that is way I have appreciated these threads - upfront is always better lets you know what to expect - know i am rambling but just real excited that the pain was nothing really did not take any pain meds in hospital but once and only once since home - will stay in touch b/c feel will need guidance once the hunger really strikes - evryone keep up the good work this will and can work - it's an instrument that will help but not a miracle worker the hardest part is up to us - and as heavy women or men we already know the meaning of hard work - in the house and out - in fun and play - IN LIFE IN GENERAL-so lets all "band" together and make this work for each and everyone of us -b/c in our hearts "It's what we want" what "we always wanted" to be slim and healthy- Thank You so much for all help

Hi everyone I needed somewhere that I could express my concerns but also my joy over having the surgery - surgery date is Thursday 4/28/05 and I am scared and worried - know this is the right thing for me -will change my life but wonder about the side effects etc. have read some notes on the board about the gas pain and the pain in general - know that its surgery of course pain- and have been able to handle pain all my life -but for some reason worried about it now - hope the surgery will do as planned - but i seem to be most worried about the food intake or more like the not food intake - having to change my whole life to accuire what i want - silly i know that's what its all about, right? But will things change for the better after a couple of months or so - we camp alot with 4-5 other couples which will be a challenge but will I ever be able to eat the normal stuff again without problems-know these all sound pretty trivial but..... worried just the same - don't want to be an outcast because can not eat with the rest of the group - now for the joy - very excited -want the cute clothes and the cute size - and to be able to garden again without days of leg and back pain - so there that's it I think just needed to vent - have told only a few about having surgery -husband, son, mother will in time -I feel - just something for myself right now -that's why i said glad found this forum so could let some of my concerns out - Thanks for reading and wish me luck will be back for more inspiration
