The other day I told my friend that I was going to be banded and she said, Wow, I didn't want to tell you but your stomach, wow, it's huge:cry. I guess she felt that it was okay to say since I'm about to lose weight. That really made me feel crummy.

<p>I also have no advice because I am not banded but I wanted to congratulate you on a life changing step. And wow you got out of the hospital the same day. I think my doctor makes us stay overnight! I wish you all of the best in your wonderful journey. Alfie

What is normal weight loss????

I've not been banded yet but I'd like to jump on the advice bandwagon if I may. It may be a good idea for some to put the scale where you won't always get on it. I find it to be discouraging to weigh all the time. I put my scale in my basement bathroom which I rarely go into so I won't weigh all the time. Hope that help. Alfie -

"Just concentrate on getting Protein (i.e. protein drinks or shakes) ..." Hi K, Just wondering what you think of whey. I just ordered it off the internet and don't yet know how to prepare it. This is good to use as protein I believe. Do you know if it can be my only source in the beginning after surgery? You seem knowledgeble. Thanks, Alfie :help::help::help::hungry: -

Thats great candle. I wish you all the best on your surgery. I hope that you can have the surgery on the day you are expecting. I know that can be diappointing. I named the doctor that I am using but actually, I am still waiting for his office to call me for the appt and it would be his associate that takes Aetna. Also, I have an appointment for Sept 17 with another LI doctor, Shawn Gerber's associate which I will cancel if the other doctor calls me back :> -

Hi Candle, I am in NY also. I am going to the seminar on Thursday. The doctor I chose is Dr. Vohra in Hewlett. My friends son in law recommended him. I wish you all the best on your upcoming surgery!
