Do you mean as water? My doc and NUT do not.
-
I was also thinking it could be an acid issue. Since I started taking my Prilosec regularly my stomach has felt much better.
-
Awesome! Way to go!

Glad to hear it. Keep up the good work!

I had the sleeve after failing the band. The band was the biggest waste of time and money ever.

That sucks! You're still really new though. Give it time. I am over 3 weeks out and my stomach rejects anything sweet. I am not eating sweets, but when my blood sugar goes low I usually take glucose tablets or gel. I also do fruit juice if I have it. All of them make me nauseas. I get so incredibly sick for hours. It's been hell. I dread low sugars like never before. -
Costco also has omeprozole. It was a very good price. That's where I picked it up.
-
Glad to hear you're doing well! I am so happy to be off shakes! I have had a little trouble from time to time with food going through. Nothing has come back up though. Coming from a failed band I just stop immediately and know it will go away. And it does.

When you start try canned first. The NUT said its more moist and easier for new baby tummy to break down.
-
Yes you can! I thought I was on full liquids another week so I was pleasantly surprised when I went to the NUT meeting and was handed a shopping list for soft foods. I practically skipped to the grocery store. Lol.
-
Yes! I love it. Haha. They told us to have three servings of healthy fats a day and avocado is by far my favorite. So tasty! I buy the canned chicken and shred it up really good and cut the avocado into chunks and mash it all together.

Glad to hear you made it! We knew you would Keep walking and resting. You'll be back to normal in no time. -
Hi everyone. I am back. I have been traveling for the last week. I have tried to catch up on the boards. I see some of you at still struggling. I'm so sorry. I am doing amazing. I am three weeks out tomorrow and can hardly tell I have had surgery except for the change in appetite and the acid reflux. Reflux is something I have never had before. It's so unpleasant. Lol. Monday I was cleared to go back and workout. I have gone for a run and taken a Zumba class. I was sore but felt great getting back in the gym. I'm still a little wary of weight lifting. I have hired a personal trainer who is actually working with my surgeon to open their own gym. It opens in a few weeks and I start training with her after that. Traveling was stressful. We had to fly with our toddler. Eating was not easy, but we made it work. I even ate some real chicken when at a restaurant with my husbands family. I don't want them knowing about my sleeve. They're know-it-all assholes who are incredibly rude and unsupportive. I didn't know I was starting soft foods last week so that made traveling a bit easier. As for the chicken, I chewed chewed chewed and it went down fine. I told my doctor about it at my appointment Monday. He said as long as I didn't have trouble that's fine. My favorite meal right now is canned chicken with avocado mixed together. It fills me up and makes me happy. I am down 21 pounds and feel amazing.

You may want to ask about Jello. My program says no jello. Not really sure why but I don't like jello so I was fine with it. -
Thanks for the site suggestion. I'm sorry to hear you still have gas pains. Those are the worst! I also have the awful breath and notice the smell of everyone else's breath. Gross!
-
I'm not two weeks out yet. In the last week my water and protein intake has increased tremendously.
-
No. I can do that now. Just had to work up to it.

Who is your surgeon? Mine doesn't do a post-op leak tests and only has had one leak too. Dr. Pham? -
I was that way up until four nights ago.

Thanks Shersun! Glad to hear you're doing well. I would do better if I were sleeping! Thanks for the link. Jen -
I should have cold here first. Yes. I am off pain meds and unable to sleep. Maybe 3 hours a night if I'm lucky. I'm also having the same issue with protein and calorie intake. Less than 300 cals a day and around 50-60 pro. I feel terrible.

Anyone else struggling to sleep? I am lucky to get 2-3 hours a night and its killing me. I can't imagine getting through my day today. But u have a NUT and an Endo appointment. -
I personally couldn't have done it. I know a lot of the people who had the sleeve around the same time as me said the first 3-5 days were rough. But everyone is different.
