I have my befores and will take my afters soon! Probably post sometime next week.
-
Geez. Haha. Gotta love those hormones! Hopefully things will lighten up as you do
-
Omg. That's terrible. I me ER went past 3 week periods. I use the nuvaring and usually just leave it in and don't have a period. It keeps everyone much happier. I go back on BC next period. Wahoo!
-
I just assumed my period was more on time because of the hormone reset I have been experiencing since the sleeve. I hope when I go back on BC I will still have nice short on-time periods.
-
Me too! Well I was peeing before going out to meet a friend and I was wearing white pants and all. Had to change and grab tampons. I used to have 7-10 day long periods with a two day break in between. So when my period stopped at day 4 I wasn't surprised. But I was so surprised it didn't come back. It was amazing!

Sorry I have been so MIA. I don't have as much time to be online now. I feel like I am always running around!

I can't believe it. The last two weeks of weight loss was incredibly slow. After my ER visit I got lazy with both activity and protein. But I was better this week and am feeling so much better!
-
I hit 199 on the scale today! Hooray!!!

That's how mine were before surgery. I was shocked when I started my period RIGHT on schedule on the 17th because it was on time and I had no crazy cramping as a warning. Good luck Hun.

Hahaha. I absolutely understand the perfect 94 reading. I remember when I was younger and all the one touch boxes had the same number showing on their meters. It's like that. I am over 7 weeks out and feel amazing. My A1c is down to 8.1 from 10 and my weight is down 35 pounds. I am just feeling great with tons of energy. I have a fitbit now and I love having such a great tool to keep track of my activity and food. Keep up the great work! Sounds like this has been a good experience. When you say you don't need to bolus is that the new normal or do you have to bolus now and didn't before?

Happy Girl I am so sorry I didn't respond sooner. I must have read your post and meant to reply and forgot. I understand how it's easy to gain weight with a pump. I am now almost 8 weeks out and am the happiest I have been in a long time. My A1C has gone from a 10 to 8.1 and is going down at a pace that makes my strict endo very happy. I'm down 30 pounds now and under 200 pounds for the first time in years. Going from the band to the sleeve was the best decision I ever made. If you would like to email or text back and forth please send me a private message. I have started texting with a woman I met in my nutrition pre-op class and it has been so helpful. Again, sorry for the delay! Jen

There's one my program suggests and I think it's called the emotional first aid kit: life after weight loss surgery. You can get it on amazon.

Did you ever try that tea? Seriously guys. It's $4 for 12 bags and it just takes one to go!
-
Well mine doesn't hurt. So I have that going for me. Hopefully those patches work out for you. At least they let you buy a few for less than a million dollars to try.
-
Not sure. I was on liquids and felt uncomfortable. By the time they advanced my diet I was already constipated.
-
Gee thanks for nothing, huh? That sucks. I'm sorry. My biggest issue is a stitch sticking out. I still haven't contacted my doc but I need to. It's starting to itch and scabs over but I itch it and pick the scab because I'm itching it.
-
Omg! No! I'm so sorry. Did your surgeon's office have any other options for you? That amount of pain is ridiculous this far out.
-
My NUT and surgeon say gummies aren't good post sleeve. The NUT said they have too much sugar and my surgeon just doesn't like them. Let me know if you fine an alternative to Bariatric Advantage, besides bariatric fusion. NUT says they're low quality and have poor absorption rates. But right now I'm only getting vitamins from my shakes. I know BA has a gummy multi now but that made me sick before the chewables did.

Oh man SJ. I hope they can figure that out. Pain that severe is rough and makes you tired even if you're getting sleep! Good luck friend.
-
I was shocked. I didn't think it would work but now it's the only thing I will use. And it's not another pill or medicine to add to the list. Especially immediately post-op. Theres enough going on. (Said the other nurse, LOL!)

There is an amazing decaf herbal tea called smooth move tea. I have found it at most grocery stores in my area. I was 10 days post op with nothing and was taking colace and drinking a lot of Water. I drank two cups of smooth move tea (one in the morning and again in the afternoon) and by that evening I went. And I went multiple times that night and the next day. I now swear by it when I run to any issues.

You look amazing SJ! And you too SF! I will post pics eventually. Lol. I'm not nearly as brave.

I love this!!! Hooray! My bestie and I were together for 11 hours yesterday and she said she wants to have the sleeve. I told her about the wonderful people I have met on here and encouraged her to sign up for the site. I know I wish I would have gotten connected on here sooner. It made me think of you and your bestie.

Ours was a 5.1 but was only half a mile deep so we really felt it. And they say we have had 150 quakes in the last 24 hours. I have only felt 5-6 of them. But that's enough for me. It's so different when you have a kid. I just look around her crib and think "what could fall on her?"
