I am also having this pain and I dont think its gas. I am 10 days post op (7-23) and if I put pressure on it while I am walking its okay but then I am walking differently and then my back hurts from compisating feels like a pulled muscle in my back. My pain in the front is more of a burning type pain. I am following all post op instructions. I did however lose 18lbs at my 1st post op on Thursday.

Tomorrow is the big day. I am scheduled to be banded at 8:30am. I am not as nervous as I have been this past week. I am looking forward to getting the weight off for good! Wish me luck

Thanks. Today my kids wanted chicken ramen noodles and I was able to drink the broth. Did you have a burning sensation inbetween the port and the larger incision? Everytime I get up and try to walk it hurts really bad the Dr. said its normal.

Hi Slim Have you tried flavouring your shakes with sugar free syrups? It really helps. I am using whey protien powder that I got at Sam's club and its not so bad. I am 5 days post op today. I am doing well except for pain in the larger incision. I was hoping to go back to work this week, I work at a slow Dr. office. But I cannot walk without holding in the spot where it hurts. Also I am having issues with the broth. I am drinking plenty of fluids and eating jello and popsicles so hopefully I can try the the broth again soon but right now the smell of it makes me sick. Hi my name is Kathy and I am from Garden City Michigan and I am getting my lap band in 4 days. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I am having the procedure done at St. Mary's Mercy by Dr. Zeni. Monday I start my liquid diet (2 full days prior to surgery).

I am feeling exactly the same as you did, DOUBTING my choice. Thanks for the kind words and it looks like you are doing GREAT so far. I hope I will do well with this. I think I need to stop reading the people who have had bad things happen with this surgery and focus on the positive.
