As I continue to do my research it looks like the closest doctor to me is Dr. Krahn. He has a seminar on the 28th of August. I am guessing this in my next best step. If anyone has any pro's or con's on this doctor or WesternBariatric it would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure if anyone is checking this thread anymore but wanted to say hello to other So Cal band-folk. I am seriously considering this proceedure and the closest doctor would be Dr. Douglas Krahn. I have not seen his name much on this site... anyone able to recommend his work?

So I am seriously considering the Lap band procedure. I am 35 years old and have been about 100 pounds overweight for ten years now. I am getting tired of it and can't seem to find a way to get the weight off. I have yet to read any of the posts here but I am sure that there will be a lot of information and education to be gleemed from this site. Best of luck to you all on your journeys.

Thanks Brandy for the reply. I am not getting a lot of family support on this so it makes the decision making process even harder. My hubby tries to support me but he would rather see me use more traditional methods of weight loss rather than this. I feel like a hamster caught in it's wheel as I am too tired to exercise at the end of the day and my eating is erratic due to my crazy schedule. He says ... excuses... maybe he's right.... it's so hard. I am glad that you found success and wish you all the best.
