My name is Dorothy, I had VSG on November 19, 2013. My weight the day of surgery was 382 pounds. Today 1/12/14 I am 339 pounds. I have been overweight most of my life. In 2003 I lost over 130 pounds through diet and exercise. I kept that weight off for over 7 years, but gained it all back within the past few years. I chose to have the VSG because I needed the extra help to take the weight off again. It just wasn't coming off as easy as it did before. I have 2 young children who need their mother and my weight was preventing me from being the best mother and wife I could be. I am a shy person, some would say I am a introvert. I am not comfortable around a lot of people or in crowds. I would much rather sit around a bon fire with a few close friends and family then be in a club, bar or party. I am a stay at home mother and my husband and I have been married for 16 years. I am looking to met people who have had the same surgery as me and who are going through the same things as me concerning the surgery through this group/forum.
