I find it less helpful to hear about the journey of somebody who's under 250 and having the surgery. I've seen so many people just under 200 pounds having the surgery and I am horrified. I guess everybody's journey and reasonings are different. It just seems like such a drastic surgery and if I were 200 pounds I would be thankful… At least this point my life. But just to lose 50 pounds, I have a hard time wrapping my head around it.

Most are people that have already prepared months for surgery. Including work with counseling and nutrition. In this year of prep I only lost 18 lbs. It depends on your own experience. If you have high blood pressure, knee and back pain, sleep apnea, etc you may change your mind. My highest weight was 248 and at time of surgery it was 228. Even at 207, I need to lose more to ease every day pain besides wanting to be in better health and be the best I can be. It might seem drastic surge...
