I find it less helpful to hear about the journey of somebody who's under 250 and having the surgery. I've seen so many people just under 200 pounds having the surgery and I am horrified. I guess everybody's journey and reasonings are different. It just seems like such a drastic surgery and if I were 200 pounds I would be thankful… At least this point my life. But just to lose 50 pounds, I have a hard time wrapping my head around it.

what if someone said that they find it hard to believe someone could actually have let their weight escalate beyond 250 lbs. I have never been 240 lbs. I had a baby at 40 years old and couldn't lose weight. I would not be happy at 200lbs b/c I am uncomfortable at that weight. I couldn't imagine being 300 lbs I can barely support my own weight as it is now. Besides, my insurance wouldn't be covering my surgery in full if they did not think this weight was a great risk to my he...

It's a lot like how I don't find it helpful to read posts of those who have the lap band or the gastric bypass. Their experiences seem so different from those who have had the sleeve, that I focus my attention on those who are going through what I am or potentially will go through. And doesn't negate the great job to do losing, just not...as...helpful to me.
