    I've been battling my weight since I can remember. I remember being told by my pediatrician when I was in 7th grade that I was obese. I weighed 170 and was about 5' 5" at the time. Everyday has been a struggle for me since then.

      Thanks everyone. All went well. I have minimal, but thankfully none of that awful gas pain. I didn't get a chance to walk yet because I got very lightheaded the two times they tried. Hopefully the overnight nurse will walk me.

    Just got the call, I have to be at the hosptial tomorrow morning at 5:45 am! Much better than the 11 am time that the nurse originally called me with. Is it weird that I'm excited and not nervous?

    My co-worker defintely just told me i was acting like a Biotch, lol. I can't help it. I only have to do 3 more days but I am starving and this Bariatric Advantage shake is disgusting

    Day 4 of my pre op diet and I'm starving. T minus 3 days until the beginning of the rest of my life. :-)

      you can do it!! drink lot's of water, when I got really hungry in the evening I just went to bed early...stay away from the kitchen :)

      Believe it or not day 4 was a turning point for me...after that the hunger subsided somewhat! Either that or the thought of drinking anymore of that stuff made me so sick I just walked away. :-) Stay strong!

    Hi I'm kind of a newbie, I've been reading for months and have only posted a few times. I had my 6th and final nutrition appointment on Tuesday and everything was submitted that day. I called my insurance yesterday and I've been approved! My surgery will more than likely (and hopefully) be on July 22nd. I can't wait to be on the other side.

    Hi everyone. I have finally read all 178 pages and am ready to actively participate! I am 28 years old, 282 pounds and 5' 7". I just met with my Dr. And NUT on 1/7/14 and I have to meet with the NUT for the next 5 months for my insurance to approve so I'm hopeful for a late June/ early July surgery date. I am so inspired and motivated by all of your journeys. I cannot wait to get on the losers bench and no longer feel like the "fat girl." I wish everyone much succes in reaching and maintaining their goals.
