About Me
I started having weight gain in my early 20s, before that I was always very slender (at 22 years old, my wedding dress was a size 7). Over the years my weight keeps climbing, with occasional losses of 35, 60, and 40 pounds, only to gain it back, plus some. The weight is now causing pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and general fatigue. My doc has recently suggested that I consider sleeve surgery, which sort of frightens me. Every time I think about it, I get nauseous, of course having the stomach flu right now doesn't help that right now. LOL.
There is a history of obesity in my family so I believe that I'm genetically predisposed to this. I would like to do whatever I can to turn this around, but I'm frightened of such a dramatic surgery and would like to learn more about it here.
