  1. Dee~ You are so beautiful!!! Inside and out. Just ask the weather man! HA!!! I just had to throw that in!
  2. Brandy -- I think you have to be happy with where you are at weight wise. I know that is the hard part for me I keep think I want to be abt 130 - 135, but it will depend more what I look like once I get there. You will know what is right for you once you get there. You look great!!! I know what you mean Denise! Everyone keeps saying what a huge difference...I am praying that my head would hurry up and catch up with my body. I still see myself as fairly heavy. When I did a body picture, I thought I looked like I could lose another 50 pounds. I am with you and will know when I get there. I just am not as comfortable as I could be at this weight. You need to change your screen name to IAMAHOTMOMMA!!!
  3. I did get a slight fill (o.1cc) so just a touch. I also saw Dr. K today and not Tom like I thought. That was a nice surprise. Dr. K said I should only lose 5-10 pounds more. Tom said 20-30 more. I want to lose at least 15 more and the re-evaluate where I am. The number in my head is 27 more, I need to get over that "certain number, certain size" syndrome. I was going to try to meet up with Sidann, but I am not sure if I saw her or not, she could have been in the other room. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.
  4. Mal~ So very happy that Mr. Buster is feeling better!!! YAY BUSTER!!!

    Self doubt/hate...

Ok...I was banded on 12/12. I have lost 70 pounds and have gone from a 22 to a 10/12. I thought that I only had 25-30 more to go. I had my son take some pictures of me to post for my 6 month bandiversary. Looking at them I would say that I need to lose at least 50 more! Can I say that I was literally sick at how TERRIBLE I looked. I still look fat, so now I am feeling fat and I am just disgusted. I will be honest that a big part of me did the band because I wanted to LOOK better...and I don't. I am working out (weights and cardio) but everything still looks big and nasty. Someone PLEASE tell me how to get over this!!! I hated myself back then and I am getting those nasty feelings all over again! HELP!!! :smile2:

    Self doubt/hate...

Livin~ I must have made myself unclear...looking better was only a part of it. I actually did it to avoid a total knee replacement or cartilage transplant. That was my #1 motivator...the looking good just was a bonus (but that WAS NOT AT ALL MY MAIN REASON). Sorry that that was unclear. I appreciate everyones replies and am glad I am not alone!
  20. Thanks! She is a sweet thing! Bless your daughter! We couldn't get through half the stuff it wasn't for the Children's Hospital and the different staff. God bless her! Being a mom is harder than I ever would have imagined it being! Ever...
  21. Sure...she had a unilateral cleft lip, a severe bilateral cleft palate. She had a g-tube place at 3 months. She was diagnosed with 2 syndromes Vander Woude and Popliteal Pterygium...which is a miracle in itself that she is here. She has been considered failure to thrive since day 1. Like I said, she is 5, and we still have to hit 30 pounds! We had her 1st surgery at 19 days and we just kept going... Looking at her on the outside, you would think that she is fine. She just has lots going on internally. She is a strong little cookie, and this has been her life. It is now mine. I vowed that I would get our name out there and if there is any cleft affected famlies that need to talk or anything, we would be there with TONS of information. Something that we did not have. If you want to see her, you could go to www.cleftadvocate.org click on the photo link, go to "H" and she is Hannah Faith. The info is a little outdated, but you could get a gist of what she looks like. She is lovely!!

What happens when the band is full?

I myself have wondered that...I was told that as you lose fat, the band gets looser...hmmmmmmmmm???
