I too am feeling like a failure. I know what I should eat and that I should be doing some excercising. I am ready to recommit myself. I will start my journal today and commit to start exercising as well. Good luck--

That you for the encouragement. I will keep my focus on what got me to the surgeons office in the first place and continue to just FOCUS on doing the right thing--especially making better choices. -

I was originally banded sept 2007, I had to have it taken out and replaced due to erosion. I had it put back in dec 2008. I have just had a really difficult time jumping back on the wagon. I feel that I am reald to re commit. I felt so good when I lost the weight and now I feel depressed at the weight I have gained. I will start journaling and start my days positive. Thank you for your encouraging words and good luk to you.--Michele :0) -

Yes--My hubby and I are at this same point. We are going tomorrow for a fill. We are committed to start this process again--fresh. I feel so disgusted with myself for gaining the weight I have. I wish you much success. -
I went through this too. I was felt like I had acid reflux. Went to my primary doctor and she put me on priolec, but something made me call and mention it to my surgeon. I was already schedualed to had my port relocated on The friday and an endoscopy was added to this. When I woke up I was told that they had to take my band out because it was eroding my stomach. At first I was scared and thought to myself--I can do this by myself--I do not need to get the band back in. Well I gained 12 lbs within a month. I could not wait to get the band back in. I had it out October 8th and had the Realize band in on December 8th. In the back of my head I am nervous that the same thing will happen. I will just try to do my best and hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here. Also my hubby has a band and he does not have any problems. I wonder though--I went through a period of time that no matter what I ate and how much I chewed I would throw up. I wonder if that has anything to do with my situation???? I certinaly know how you feel. Have you thought of having the band put back in? Good luck------------Michele

I had to have my band removed at the beginning of September. I was scheduled for a port replacement and I was having acid reflux. So before the port replacement my doc did an endoscopy which showed that my band had erroded my stomach. So I was devistated that I had to have my band out (only finding out when I woke up). I am such the carb-oholic and so scared that I would just gain all my weight back. I did gain 12 lbs in 1 month. I am having my band back in on December 8th and am counting the days down. I cannot wait to get the "full-feeling" back. Oh and my insurance is paying for the surgery--thank heavens.

I was banded by Dr Cwyes on Aug 30th. His office stays very busy, but like another responder said his office staff and him are very professional and nice. Good luck with your decision.

It is nice to hear what everyone is going through post-op. I was banded Aug 30th and my 1st day back was yesterday(PM only). I was sore and had ALOT of gas. By the end of the day the pain moved to my back and I was in tears. I am so happy to say that I am feeling so much better today. I will continue to keep up with everyones progress.

:clap2:OK--I survived. Yesterday and today my hubby made sure to get me out and about for a little bit and if I am sleeping would wake me to walk around a bit. The gas is uncomfortable, and I felt as though everything I drank sat in my throat, so I was a little uncomfortable today. Everyday is getting better though.

I cannot believe that it is here. Tomorrow I will be banded at 11:30. Good luck to all you other August 30th bandsters and chat with you on the flip side.

I am so excited that being on the low carb diet for about a month and a half I have lost 17 lbs. Resulting in being able to fit into my size 18 pants(from a size 20). I will be banded on the 30th and am looking forward to the lifestyle change.:whoo:
