  1. I can only read at a third grade level so I couldn't make it through all these posts made by higher level readers. From what I could comprehend though is that you should be careful not to have sex with a stranger even if they is nice to you. You should be careful. If you are their boss you should tell them not to sleep with their customers cuz it is bad for business. Plus, you don't need to have the sleeve surgery and also wind up with no baby so you might want to just say no or bring a lot of condoms. Now, frankly, I saw Omar's picture an I so would have fkd him, but then again I'm a big whore. I hope this helps everyone.
  2. I really have no concrete answer to that unless it eventually works out by being absorbed into your blood stream. Maybe some of it will have to go to you GIT but they do t put any gas directly in there.
  3. Holly the whole GasX idea never made any sense to me as the gas is not in your GI tract but inside you in between your organs. GasX is designed for gas in your stomached and stomach and/or intestine so I always felt that walking was the best.
  4. I absolutely adored cream of chicken soup!
  5. Walk as much as you possibly can!
  6. Hey does anyone know where I can get me some Brazilian diet pills? I've pretty much tried everything else.

    Feeling Wimpy

Thanks all for your kind replies. I'm not really worried at this point, just kind of over not feeling up to snuff. My work is pretty active with lots of walking involved. I've been back to yoga for the past few weeks. I poop out pretty much about 2/3 if the way through class and then I just muddle through. I'm almost 40 lbs down and I can sure move better than ever so that is nice. I have a feeling that the closer I get to goal, the better I will operate in the lower calorie intake. I appreciate you all taking the time to respond!

    Feeling Wimpy

Howdy all, I was looking for some input on how other folks recovered after their VSG. I am two months out and I still feel pretty wimpy. I eat pretty well and concentrate on getting my protein and water in. I pretty much stay between 800-1000 calories. I've tried to search this topic out with very little success. I just don't feel up to par yet and wondered if that is common. I am in my late 50's so I'm sure I wouldn't spring back like some if the younger people. Any input would be greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.

    Any May sleevers?

While I would certainly recommend getting a passport, if only for the peace of mind value, I did not have one and had no problem whatsoever getting back into the US. I was, however, armed with as much documentation as I could lay my hands on. Getting back into the states without one is done all the time.
  10. Juba, I went to Dr. Kelly in early March and if you would like, I would be more than happy to send you the recommended post op diet that I got before I left for surgery. Feel free to pm me if you like.

    March Sleevers in Tijuana!

Mzjay, hi, I had my sleeve on 3/4 with Dr. Ramos Kelly and I am doing quite well. I'm down about 34 lbs and pretty much am eating anything that I like. I'm not fond of bread anymore, and my eggs have to be cooked just so, but other than that I'm able to eat just about anything. Best wishes on you upcoming surgery!

    April sleevers in mexico

I took three different ensembles and I ended up doing what you just said, wore the same thing. The lighter the better, less to mess with and stress over. Best wishes on your travels and surgery.
  13. Ooops, and yes the wifi was free.
  14. Howdy, I was at the Marriott in early March and the wifi worked well. I also purchased an international plan for a month with ATT for around $40. Lately I've also seen commercials for an app called Line which claims to allow free international texting and phone calls. Happy trails!
  15. I get that too sometimes, I don't think it has happened around anyone yet, seems like it's more after I drink water. I look forward to hearing what others have to say.
  16. When I was there in early March I tipped the driver going in $10-15. Coming back out there was a mixup with my medical pass and so I have him $30 because we had to go back to the hospital and he was so kind and patient to wait with me.

    March Sleevers in Tijuana!

I had my sleeve in early March and just used normal band aids over my 5 incisions just to protect them for my flight home. Worked well, used steristrips a few times after I got home and then nothing. They are healing very well. I put vitamin E on them daily and soon be using a scar gel on them.
  18. I am doing well Scorpion! I'm losing and every day it seems that I feel a little bit better. I've read/heard a lot of different things about Dr. Kelly, mostly good. I frankly don't know what to believe to tell you the truth. My best friend has surgery/VSG with him last year and she is doing great. I'm trying my best to focus on what I'm supposed to do and my recovery and new lifestyle.

    Newbie

Good to hear from you Tiff. Yes, the gas pain was the worse part for me. Everyone has to go at their own speed. What worked for me was making myself walk at least for a few minutes after every nap. It was rough but it helped a lot. Believe me, after every walk I was ready to nap again for the first couple if days. I'm three weeks out today and I sometimes have to remind myself about what I've done and where I've been....well except for when I'm full after only a few bites. Feel better soon!

    Any May sleevers?

Curious, I had surgery earlier this mint and there was just no way that I could get my passport unless I rescheduled my surgery date. I didn't have an accurate birth certificate and my birth date was taking about 20-30 business days to process. I came back into the states from Tijuana using only my drivers license. I had a whole slew of other ID just in case but all they asked for was my DL. By all means get your passport if you can, it's easier on the peace of mind but I don't think it's a big deal if you don't have it.

    Dr. Kelly

So Sleeve Sister, how are you doing so far? I'm doing pretty well, very tired, not hungry at all. I've lost 12 lbs since surgery, kind of slow but that is how I lose anyway. scale doesn't budge and then it jumps. I hope that you are doing really well. Jackie
  23. I am drawing close to my date with Dr. Kelly in Tijuana. I am so excited about my surgery which is on 3/4. I've heard nothing but good about Dr. Kelly and just would love to hear from others who have had surgery with him. My best gal pal had surgery last July and she is doing just great. Anybody else want to share their experience.

    Celebrating!

Your funny. We can hold more liguids ... as they tend to go right through us...its the solids and pureed foods thay will get you if you don't take time between bites and chew very well before swallowing. Thanks Amazyme, you are so right. It is a whole new experience trying to eat slowly. I'm good at the chewing, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out why in the world I feel the need to rush through an entire 1/4 cup of soup??? What's with that. I learned quickly yesterday and stuck with shakes for the rest of the day.
