I'm set to be banded at the end of this month, but one of my questions to the surgeon was how much will filles cost. He stated that I would only need to pay $70 per fill! I was so happy about that.

Any January Surgery Bandsters?
als41 replied to msirish's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor only said I needed to do 3 days of pre-op diet. Liquid diet 2 and 3 days out with one solid meal, and only liquids day before surgery. I'm going to start a little earlier though, I'll start exchanging meals for liquid meals starting Wednesday or Thursday this week. At least that's my plan. -

It is good to see another guy going through this, relatively at the same time. I'm looking forward to the surgery and even more to the life to follow. Let me know how you progress! Finally another guy in January! I got banded a couple days ago and feel great about where this is gonna go. Just stay true to what your surgeon tells you and you'll lose the weight. -

Any January Surgery Bandsters?

Hi everyone, I'm a 41 year old man being banded on January 27th. I'm excited to begin my new life, but nervous at the same time that it won't work for me. I have had trouble with my weight my entire life and nothing has seemed to work in the long term. In choosing the band, I liked the fact that if for some reason I fell off the wagon my doctor could tighten me up and we could start over again. -
What site is the Florida Bandsters on? When I searched it, several came up. There was a Yahoo page, another on Obesity Help and a few others. I did join the group on this site, but there didn't seem to be too much on it. I'll keep trying to explore, as I'm still working to figure out how to navigate through my BariatricPal page.

I'm getting ready for my surgery on the 27th of this month. I'm using Dr. Fusco, and feel that the members of his team have been really supportive. I live in the Saint Cloud area and am looking for a support group a little closer than the Melbourne Area.

Joanne, I actually live in the warmer St. Cloud located in Florida. I'm guessing that during weeks like this one you would also like the warmth of life here in St. Cloud, Florida. I wish you luck in finding a new doctor. It is so important to have trust in and be able to speak with your doctor. Let me know how your search goes.

Thanks, I'll check out Bansters site. KimK, I've been checking out several of the threads out there. It is nice to see that there are so many of us out there, and so many people to look to for help.
