Hi! I'm Lyssa and I've been in the UCLA program for....quite some time. I've always been scared because my (tri-west) does not cover the gastric sleeve and the RNY scares the bejeesus out of me. I'm only 19 years old and I want to go out and really do things! I want to travel, but that's hard when you can barely fit in a plane seat :(
I'm planning on doing the Gastric Sleeve whether it takes time, persistence or both because gosh darn you government insurance it's the one I want! I've lost my goal amount of weight pre-surgery (and a little extra, yay me!) so that they can lift up my liver and whatnot and now I'm just waiting on my 3 months of diet supervision to be over and to hear if they have approved my surgery yet. Here's to hoping <3

Update~!
I'm now in the San Diego Naval Hospital program and well on my way to what I hope will be a summertime surgery! (VSG of course)
