I'm in southern Cali, specifically IE(inland empire). I was sleeved on 12/9/13 and have been scared & disappoint the whole time. I have been on liquids for 7 weeks now. I'm really tired of drinking the shakes & am starting purée foods this week. I'm scared that I'm not getting enough protein because my weight is at a stand still. I'm happy to finally be eating food again, but I'm worried that it's not working. SW: 298 CW: 280 GW: 155

I'm feeling better. I got on the scale yesterday and had lost 2 lbs. I think I broke thru my stall. & am on my way to normal size. :-) Thank you so much for checking back on me & enjoy the rest of your weekend & have a great week. -
I'm 6 weeks post-op & started dry heaving every morning this week. Nothing comes up, but it been happening every morning this week. Is this normal because I'm worried. PLEASE ADVISE.

I called & left a message for my surgeon. I will also try drinking as soon as I wake up like gomekast mentioned. Hopefully it's nothing serious, as I wait for a callback. -

Catherine 707 Thank u so much for the encouragement. I'm going to GNC tomorrow and get some of that Protein powder. I hope to be able to look back and see the progress you have made. -
I'm a newbie & just guessing but that feeling in your stomach could be felling full. I'm 5 weeks post-op and just starting the purée stage. Maybe your body is not ready for food yet. As long as you are getting your needed protein, take tour time with the food. Your body will accept when it's ready.

I'm just starting the purée/soft food stage. I bought some baby food thinking I could season it to my liking(I WAS WRONG!!). I tried the chicken because I'm trying to make sure I get my Protein, but it was dry. So I went to Taco Bell and got some refried Beans & mixed it with the chicken. It was pretty good. I will probably have that for dinner also. I have just discovered this site last week & am so grateful for all the information on here. The journey so far has been hard, but I feel it will be easier because I have better information THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on having the sleeve. I had mine done on 12/9/13 and it was amazing. I had minimal pain & didn't need any medication once I was sent home. Ask your nurse can u have ice chips. That's all they allowed me 2 have my first night. You will get full very quickly, but just take your time when u start to drink. And the gas will be very annoying in the beginning but it goes away. :-)
