  1. I didn't wear anything but the gown I put on before surgery. There was no way I would have been able to put any kind of top on with the IV's, and I didn't care to put pants or underwear on as I didn't want yo pull them off and on every time I went to the bathroom. I wore home what I wore there.

    Michigan Sleevers

Dr. Gluck did my surgery 7.5 weeks ago. I ❤️ him! He gives out his personal numbers so you can always get in touch with him. He's amazing. Good luck!

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

I've done the opposite. Find clothes I haven't been able to wear ever, or not for a long time, and they fit perfectly! Yay us!

    I'm in the medical field.

This forum (I'm my opinion) is for any rant and rave in life. WLS or otherwise.

    I'm in the medical field.

Which is also known as the medical field.

    I'm in the medical field.

But.... that's all in the medical field!

    I'm in the medical field.

I'm a CNA, and also in nursing school. I can't even imagine what a nurse would do without their CNAs. I had to go to school and take take a state test to be able to work in in a nursing home/hospital. Im.just really unsure how that would make me not in the medical field.

    I'm in the medical field.

a CNA is a nurse aid, which makes me working in the medical field. I get you saying that people lying is dumb, but saying a CNA or MA aren't working on the medical field is some real bullsh!t.

    I'm in the medical field.

This is the rants forum. I'm pretty sure she can post what she wants.

    I'm in the medical field.

A cna is still someone who works in the medical field. I know this is in rants, but I'm a cna, and also in school for nursing, I'd gladly tell people I work in the medical field.

    Pain!

Same. My bigger incision still hurts and is sometimes a level 7-8 pain.

    Pain!

You had major surgery 3 days ago. Of course it's normal to have lots of pain. If they gave you pain meds, don't be afraid to take them if you need to I still have to take mine sometimes, and I'm 7 weeks out.

    Swollen/bloated belly

I'm 7 weeks out, and I still have a lot of incision pain. It's hard to bend over, sleep on my sides, etc. My doctor told me it's normal and can be painful for up to 6 months.

    Sushi

I'm 7 weeks out, and I actually ate sushi last night. I took about half the rice off each piece, and was only able to eat 4 small pieces of a roll. (The roll was 12 pieces) it was the best thing I've eaten in 9 weeks.
  15. I wouldn't buy too much of anything before surgery. Things that taste good now might not taste good after. That happened to me with protein powders. Thankfully I just bought some packets and decided I'd buy a tub I liked after.
  16. I'm 7 weeks out and still have issues sleeping on my sides. Blah. I have lidocaine patches that help, but not 100%

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

    Surgery 2/19/14 SW: 314 CW: 263 I'm 34, 5'2 and 7 weeks out. Went from a size 28 pant to a 20, and a 40 DD bra to a 38 D. While I'm happy to lose some boobs, I don't want to lose em all. Haha
  18. I had planned on staying at my dad's. But his couch was too low to the ground, his bed wouldn't work... The only place I had to sit was a chair at the kitchen table. I did manage to snooze there for the day I came home from the hospital. If you can, just prop yourself up on lots of pillows behind you, and maybe some next to you too.
  19. I slept on my couch. Granted, I do have an awesome sectional, so I just propped some pillows in the corner send laid there. But it would been just as comfy on a normal couch. I just used like 3 or so pillows to be propped up a bit. I couldn't lay flat for at least 4 weeks. Although I'm still having pain and sleep on my x ouch once in a while.

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

All that matters is that it does work and I don't have to take meds to make me poop!

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Having a glass of the v8 diet splash as I type this! Not only have I pooped on in a regular basis since I bought some of this stuff, but it tastes good and is something different than propel and minute maid light lemonade. Yum!

    Repetitive and Circuitous Topics....

Omg. And the stall threads. And the I'm I'm a week out and feel like crap is this normal? When can I eat? Pre-op diets... There are many threads I love here (this being one of them) but many that I just want to reply with "there's a search button for a reason. " I also didn't realize I wad a few days behind Web I quoted this. I almost feel like a newb.
