I love the unwich at jimmy johns! I loved em before surgery, and even more now. It's a nice change from the usual things I eat every day. -

Biotin will NOT keep your hair from falling out. What it does is help new hair to grow in stronger and faster. If you want to try and keep hair from falling out, you can try the hair treatments like nioxin, and Bosley. (I'm a hairstylist) -

5 months and rocking it out! from Michigan
Sarahjane79 replied to kimba6999's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had a great weekend! I went to silver lake Sunday and went to the dunes for the first time ever. So much fun! A bunch of us went out to eat after and the only place we could find had a late night (it was 10pm) menu of apps abd pizza. So I got a thin crust pepperoni pizza. Ate 2 small pieces. It was delicious, and totally curbed my craving for pizza. Monday I grilled out with my neighbor and cleaned my house a little. After having a few cheats this weekend, i weighed myself today, and I was still down 3.7 lbs! For a total of 73 so far in 14 weeks. Couldn't be happier! Plus, I wouldn't have gone to the dunes this weekend, if it had been 4 months ago. I wouldn't have been comfortable. But being 70 lbs lighter and having so much more confidence and how much easier it is to get around... best weekend! Plus, my bff's jeep has 35 inch tires on it. I've been scared to get in it without a step stool (I'm only 5'1 so the tires alone are over half my height, plus I had acl reconstruction 4 years ago and have been scared to "jump" with how much I weighed) and tried it this weekend by grabbing the roll bar and pulling myself up. I CAN DO IT!! I was so excited/proud of myself. A good NSV right there for me! -
Feb. 2014 Sleevers Time to check in- How are you doing?
Sarahjane79 replied to slocin12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah. The 18s are loose in the waist, but seriously suction cupped to my legs. Made me so mad! But not at myself. And especially not when the girls that work there said the same thing, and we're smaller than me. I'll just have to figure out a different place to get jeans. -

Sarahjane79 replied to slocin12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah! I was a 28 or 30 pant pre surgery. (Not exactly sure, as a student I basically lived in yoga pants) and while I stuffed myself in an xl yoga pant, I just went and bought a couple size L yoga capris, and size 18 jean capris a couple weeks ago. Woo! And I'm still in xxl tees from old navy, but they're looser, and I did buy some xl tank tops the other day. They're a little snug, but I wear em under stuff anyways, so it'll be ok. Plus I'll get more wear out of em. Jean shopping has been stupid. Old navy 18s are loose in the waist, but are like sausage casings for my legs, especially in the calf. Apparently that's a thing though, as a couple girls who work there said the same goes for them. But I love wearing colors again. No more all black for me! -

February 19, and I'm doing amazing. I feel better than ever, have more energy and stamina to workout all the time. I'm 68 lbs lighter, and about 6-7 pant sizes smaller. Best decision I have ever made. I'm so excited and happy every day now. -
Chewable or gummie biotin?
Sarahjane79 replied to Sh3iz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Biotin isn't going to stop your hair from falling out. It will however help your hair to grow back faster, stronger, and healthier. The only way to try and combat hair loss is by getting enough protein and nutrients in your diet. Or, also using products like nioxin or Bosley will help too. (I'm a hairstylist.) -

Woooo hoop jen! I bought some size 18 capris 2 weeks ago, that are already getting loose. But same thing. Real jeans, pockets and all! And I saw some friends that I haven't seen since before surgery on Friday, and they all couldn't believe how great I looked. Totally made my day/life. Hah. It's amazing how good it feels when people can see and comment on the progress. -

Dr. Gluck was also my surgeon. I love him! I'm 34, and I was 314 the day of my pre op appt, and am now 247. Woo! I am a hairstylist, but went back to school to become an RN last year. Ummm, I grew up in spring lake. Been here all my life. I've lived in Chicago though, and miss it so much. I can't wait for it to be nice enough to to REALLY enjoy the beach and stuff. Who was your surgeon? -

What's up?? I'm sure I can muster up some motivation! Or at least try. I joined planet fitness today. (Or well, yesterday since it's the middle of the night) and I can't wait to go today! I've been using the gym I get for free at the hospital where I had my surgery, but the hours stink, and next week it will he closed for lunch after my class gets over, so I needed to figure something else out. 20 bucks isn't bad either. -

Omg! So, I bought a pair of Jean capris from old navy todsy. Size 18! I didn't even think a 20 would fit, but they were too big. Wooo! I haven't been able to walk in and buy jeans from old navy in probably 6+ years. I went from a 28/30 to an 18 so far! -

I'm glad she's going to be okay, even if it's a long road to recovery. How did the person who hit her manage to do such a thing?! -

Suggestions for Applebees?

I either get the kids steak or chicken grillers. Or I'll do the grilled shrimp add ons. -
Tylenol isnt working
Sarahjane79 replied to greensleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe if I took it everyday? I rarely take It. But needed it for incision pain I was still having 2 weeks ago. Besides ibuprofen, it's been the only thing to help with any kind of pain or inflammation. I've obly taken maybe 3-5 pills since I got it filled a couple weeks ago. Oh, and I have only needed it at night, so I can't comment on the drowsy part. -
Good luck! It's amazing how exciting it is to poop now a days. Haha. My doc also said to not go any longer than 2 days without a BM. I I don't always listen to that, but I try.

I usually have to do MOM and 2 dulcolax or colace, and I'm almost 10 weeks out.
