After 3 years....my surgery is coming Monday Nov 13 1130 am. I am looking forward to this big change in my life. Hard work, good health, excercise, energy for work, home and love life and most important a goal of 70 pound weight loss. My girlfriend is flying in and we are having surgery the same day. She will be staying at my place for 10 day recovery. Wish us well!!! I will post again when I am home from surgery. Angie

It took me time to decide, almost 3 years. It may take you time. It is a big decision but the benefit out ways any risk for me. I only need to loose 70 pounds but as I get older I do not have to energy that I want to live fully. I can't wait to finally have this done. I wish you well with your decision..

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Angelika replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My surgury is Nov 13/17. I went back and forth about my decision for the last 3 years. I am mid fifties. In my head I'm 39 and my body lately feels 70. My knee's, back, reflux, hibernating, not working in Real Estate like I should be, not socializing and networking like I use to, worried about fatty liver and apnea, osteoarthritis and not putting myself out there to meet a partner, not getting a dog again because I am worried I can't keep up with the walks...Wow what a list. I need to loose 60 pounds now, but I have yoyod from 150 to 250. I have already had skin surgery after loosing 100 pounds on my own but now have gained 60 back again.....I feel the surgery will really help to keep it off as well as continued counselling . I want to live and enjoy my life! -

Thankyou for posting your message. You are telling my story. I am wanting to commit to surgery and have been waffling for over a year. Your message has inspired me to proceed...Angie -
Hi All, I am close to my final decision to go ahead with sleeve. I have to pay out of pocket so in Canada the cost is 19,000. Still waffling about Mexico. It is a big cost for me. Any thoughts or experiences in Mexico would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Angie, can you tell me your Doctors name in Mexico..Would appreciate any referrals..

I am booked for Gastric Sleeve July 27. I am seeing so so many people complain of Acid Reflux after surgery. Does everyone get it after the sleeve? I'm concerned about the dangers of long term reflux. Also now all the news about ppi medication reducing life expectancy 25 percent! Shocking news, making me rethink the surgery again.

Thanks..

Hi. I'm booked for Jan 22. I'm still wavering on my decision. Last minute fears I guess. I do not have insurance and I am paying 16000 out of pocket. But that's not the main reason. Just feeling nervous. But I'm exhausted of dieting and feeling hungry for the last 35 years.
