  1. This might be tmi but I don't know who else to ask, when do you return to "intimate activities" after surgery?
  2. I had my surgery Wednesday feb 5th, I know pain is part of it but when did the pain start going away? I can't cough, laugh, or get comfortable... I have a hard time getting up off the couch on my own. I hate it and being so dependent on my husband right now.

    Post op protein.

I was given a list of things I can have for the post op diet I'm really just looking to see what other people are doing and what they like.. Reccomendations and advice from people who have gone through it... My nutritionist is great but she's never been through this
  4. How did everyone get their protein the first 2 weeks post op? I know the obvious is protein shakes, any recommendations? If you use powder do you mix with milk or water because I've been told I may not tolerate dairy post surgery.. Thanks for the help

    February Surgeries

Mine is feb 5th I'm so excited after getting wait listed and disappointing calls tell me it wouldn't be that month my time is finally coming, I've started my 2 weeks preop diet and I've never wanted food more in my life than I do right now.. But it's worth it

    questions, questions questions!

I'm tricare prime north region and started my process and aug 10 and was approved for surgery by the beginning of November I was not required to wait 6 months the bariactric nurse here said they use to require it but they don't anymore. The only reason I'm not having my surgery until feb 5th is because there was a wait list. Good luck
  8. Think I messed up, what shakes did everyone do for their preop liver shrinking diet? Anyone use slim fast? On my list of approved shakes it says slim fast high protein. 190 cal and 15 grams of protein. I was just looking at the shakes I have and they are just regular slim fast not the high protein. The calories are the same but the ones I have are about 5 grams of protein less. Will that make a difference do you think? I'm going to call the nutritionist tomorrow and hopefully get through but I'm freaking out I have to start tuesday
  9. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I will anyway. I'm scheduled for gastric bypass feb 5th I already know my drs plans for pain management afterward but should my husband be taking time off of work to help me with my kids? Or will I be ok to function on my own with them when I get home from the hospital they are 5, 3, and 2 but my 5 year old goes to school. I know I have a good pain tolerance because when I had my csections I didn't take any pain killers I was sore but it was manageable. Thanks in advance
