[font='comic sans ms'][size=4][color=rgb(255,0,102)]I have been over weight since childhood. I was never obese at that age but by the time I was 30 I was fight my weight and dieting on and off for the past 35 years. I got down to 150 at age 40 and kept it off for a year and then it continued up. My highest weight was 305 and then I got breast cancer in 2008. While I was on chemo and radiation I was on a diet and lost 100#. Again I went back to my "normal" life style and the weight increased. I maintained at 287 for years. I looked at bariatric surgery for years but my PMD discouraged it and insurance didn't pay. Last year I decided I had enough. I have been doing the Avon Walks for Breast cancer for 4 years and even at this weight I walked 13 miles both Sat. and Sun. of the walk. This year I have signed up to walk in Washington DC May 3 and I hope to do the walk a lighter and happier healthy person. My surgery is scheduled for Feb.4 and am looking forward to life even more.
