Any Band converters under........
R@VEN replied to reshiapooh96's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I had my band removed after two had been placed wrong in two months. I got the bypass dec 31. I haven't really experienced a slow loss but I think it has to do with the amount I have to lose. It's that way most times with any weight loss. The more you have to lose the faster it comes off In The beginning. In the end we will all end up where we want to be. Have a great day everyone. And smile big. -
I had my surgery dec 31. As if today I'm down 78 lbs. can't believe it. Happy happy girl today.

I'm wondering if there are any healthy protien bars in the market that anyone suggest. I found some Adkins bars yesterday and thought they may work if only half was consumed but the reviews are not good.

Redstacy. Awwww the booths. I have avoided those for years. Now I'm curious if I can fit.

AMY. Your post made me smile. I did something similar the other day. Not crossing my legs yet but I'm getting there. Congrats to you. And Redstacy. Congrats on the loss how ever it happened. I had band first and then bypass. It's awesome to see your success. I hope I wasn't the one who caused the mis understanding by asking the question about your loss I. The first place. But I was proud of you if you had lost it all since dec or before. Neither one matters to me. We are all in the same boat headed in the same direction some may paddle slower but we all will get there. Lol. Anyway this is an awesome site and I look forward to reading and doing some input with everyone in the future.

Awesome post. Very thought provoking. Thank you for sharing it. -
Mcmann1. Yes. I think it takes time for our brain to catch up to our body. I won't have to buy clothes for a while yet. I have three sizes of ME in my closet. I did hang a short skort on the door of my closet that I wore 10 years ago as inspiration. I'm hoping to be into it by the end of summer and lose out of it again. That's what I'm using as a bench mark. I look at it every day and it makes me smile.

Redstacy. I do understand that. After losing 60 I tried on some clothes in my closet yesterday. I out on a pair of jeans and a shirt I haven't wore in a while. My adult daughter came in and told me the shirt was too big and talked me into wearing a smaller one. She told me to look at myself In the mirror. I just kept looking at my trouble spots instead of where I have lost. I wanted to put the big clothes back on because they made me feel like I could hide those trouble spots I focus on. ????. I realized I need to work on the inside me as well as the outside me. I'm a happy and loving person to everyone except me. Today I looked in that mirror and said. Dang. I look good. Lol. And I have raised a very smart young woman.

Redstacy. Ok. Read the past post. Lol. But congrats to you. That's an awesome loss. Bet you feel like a new person.

Redstacy did you have surgery this dec? Wow that would be 100 in three months. I had surgery dec 31 2013. I'm at 60 lb loss. It's been 2 months as of yesterday.

Wow. Same thing here. I'm not a garlic person and it seems I smell it every where. I went to the dr and his and his nurses breath smelled like garlic to me. To me it's kind if like being pregnate and your sense of smell is heightened and makes you have nausea. So glad to here it's not just me.

Has Your Spouse Benefitted From Your WLS?
R@VEN replied to HealthyNewMe's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
My husband is by his standards about ten pounds over weight. He has lost five of that. My teen son has been eating so much better and has not complained at all. We don't has soft drinks in the house hardly ever and I cook smaller portions for them of my old recipes. I'm only two months out so I don't eat the same things as they do but hopefully we will all be on the same page soon. The funny thing I wanted to add that I noticed was my chihuahua has lost weight though. I didn't realize how much I fed her off my plate until I see her slimming down. She loves the walks we go on also. So I would say my surgery benefited my fur baby as well. -
Ps. I can't choke down the shakes I have tried either. Good to see others having the same problem.
