Back to basics and really doing it!

I just received an email and found this post..I really need an accountability partner. I have regained 50lbs. Lost 5 already, I will post my status once a week. I am 4 years post-op.

    Fun Gastric Sleeve Blog

Love your blog! CONGRATS on your results. I was sleeved on March 3rd and I had a good report from my surgeon on my 1st post-op visit, my blood pressure went down (no more meds) and I am down 23 lbs.

    Update....my 2 week post-op check-up

Congrats JoJo....you'll do fine. This site and the members have helped me so much. The journey is just beginning! Thank you Misfitn2014
  4. I had my 2 week check up and I almost fainted from the good news. My BP went down and I lost 19 lbs since my surgery. I AM DETERMINED!
  5. I made it through my first week. I did not experience pain from my incisions or from my new sleeve, but the AIR, GAS...whatever you may call it has been mortifying. I still have some of it left, so I walk, walk, walk, dance, move around and repeat these steps over and over again. Also, I have been having an issue with making sure I have enough fluids, I love Sonic ice so I always get a Route 44 cup and eat that during the day and sip the Water as it melts. I am determined to find what works for me and make this change. "I can do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens me!"
  6. Wow, you look amazing...congratulations!

    2 days post op

Call your surgeon. I can keep water down but I keep having the frothy spit up. I called the NP and she told me to take my Nexium and the medication for nausea. I started releasing air this morning after I took a natural vegetable laxative. I only did these under her recommendation. So call your surgeon, it is a little tough now but I believe this too will pass.

    2 days post op

I had my procedure on Monday also, the air is painful. I have been walking up and down 3 flights of stairs and it only moved once.
  10. Thank you for the prayers and well wishes. We do have this and we are going to do well, we are getting ready to open the closed curtain before us and walk into a new and healthier way of life. See you on the losers' bench!
  11. My surgery is less than 24 hours away. I am excited, I pray and believe God that all will go well and that I will not experience any or much pain. I will keep you all posted!

    5 days and counting!

Thank you all for the words of encouragement. I am praying for a speedy recovery for all who will have upcoming surgeries. I wish everyone much success and the strength and wisdom to see your journey through. Everyone on BP is awesome!
  13. I am having surgery in 5 days!! I have done all of my testing, pre-op preparations (except for the day before surgery), paid my co payments to my surgeon and the hospital. I am all set! I don't feel worried, I just feel like I don't have enough time to prepare. What I mean by that is I have purchased Protein shakes, Vitamins, a blender, workout clothing and other things to prepare for this journey, but I feel like there is so much that I am missing. I have been on this website, in this forum, everyday reading trying to make sure I haven't missed anything or that I find more information to have a successful journey. Once I am wheeled into the operating room, I don't ever want to go back to my old way of living. I want to succeed in this journey. Has anyone else felt this way?
  14. One_more_time have you already had your surgery? If so, was it done at the Microsurgery Institute of Dallas?
  15. Congratulations, we share the same surgery date. I wish you a speedy recovery and I will see you "Losers Bench"
