  1. Scurry,

I completely feel what your going through. I was sleeved Dec 2013. And I lost only 64 pounds. Now this past 4 months I gained 14 back. It makes me very depressed. I know the past 4 months has been stressful, I'm a General Manager at a brand new restaurant and the owner is wanting so much. I know I turned back to food to handle stress because I'm eating bread and chips again. I plan to start over tomorrow and hope I can do this. But I just don't understand why I've only lost only 64 pounds in a year....

  2. I had my procedure for the sleeve done on 12/31/14 weighed in at 301. Here it is 6 months has past and I only lost 40 pounds. The month of May I know I slipped (and it was my fault not paying attention of what was going in my mouth) due to the overwhelming stress at work. I come on here frequently to get tips and advice from others, and what I see is people who had the surgery in Dec like me lost 70-90 pounds. I know our bodies function differently, but its really depressing. I've been strict with myself the past two weeks writing everything down, I've done away with tea, and been drinking at least 60+ of Water a day. So I weighed myself this morning and lost only 2 pounds (261). What really hurts me, I'm still wearing the same size 22 pants, I do say that my 2XL are a little bigger on me. I've been excercising 4 days a week., its either at the gym or walking my subdivision. Do you think I'm personally doing something wrong?

  3. Hi Michelle! I'm Kim, I live in Rosenberg, TX. I just had my sleeve done on New Year's Eve (6 days ago) by Dr. Dirk Rodgriuez. I am 41, and weighed in the morning of surgery at 298.

I know I'm a newbie here.... I was lucky, Dr. Dirk did not put me on a preop diet. However, I started buying the Whey Protein and tried them before hand. However, I cannot stand the shakes that we make with powder. But I've been trying to get in some Ready to drink ones. I am still experimenting, but yet getting the Protein in. I also found that adding the plain Protein Powder to the chicken broth is pretty good. Two days before my surgery I was wanting to bail...but I thought that I'm doing this for me. And I know I can handle the first month (and I'm a big baby..lol). I also know that all these shakes i have to drink now, I won't in the future because I can eat chicken, fish, etc. I am really glad I made the decision to do this, because it will pay off!
