Contact companies... My sister just did this HUGE fund raiser for the PTA for a middle school back in Pennsylvania and she called Disney world and they gave her four park hopper passes... American warhorse sent a basket of things.. Restaurants give gift cards. It's absolutely insane how many companies will help. Have you called the company itself to see what they can do for you?

Rensterness? Maybe you should look into it! I think that's the point of paypal tho. It's a bank barrier between you and others making payments to you. We can all cheer you on! 4500-4700 is a lot of money but if improves your life then it's absolutely worth shooting for!

Shel, I think it's more not keeping anything down. Just be careful ya never wanna screw yourself up. And thank you guys all for your responses. I am trying desperately to stay away from starches and creamed soups but there seriously isn't a lot to eat if you can't do the puréed meats and don't want to blow up on carbs and sugar also and I can't live on yogurt and protein shakes and eggs for 3 weeks. I just can't lol

I went to Dr P with the Ellis group. I didn't research how big of a portion drs left behind b/c well. I just didn't think to do that. I however had my lap band removed and sleeve done at the same time. I had the lap band done in January 2011 and I had such a hard time with it. I either never felt full or couldn't keep anything down. It was a constant battle. Up and down and finally it was bothering me to the point I didn't utilize it anymore. Had all the fluid taken out BC it just didn't do anything for me anyways and why damage my stomach. So I'm scared of not having restriction like I didn't get with the lap band. I can eat some yogurt and it takes me a while but I can manage to much up the whole thing in an hour and than I think like you said it's more not being able to eat normal food that's bothering me. I am going to draw some signs of words of inspiration to hang places to keep me focused and on goal. Maybe that's the head distraction I need to keep me not focusing on food. I have to say. What is a walk aide and why is it so expensive? Have you called the company to see if they can work with you on a price? Or you can contact local Dr offices who specialize in what you need help for and see if they would be willing to help you and make a donation or work with you!? You can also contact local businesses but I advise you do that in person as letter often get ignored Brick house congrats on your success!!!! Jules

Are you on acid reflux meds? They sent me home with them to take and I HAVE to for four months... Apparently the reflux is very common with the sleeve.... What worries me tho is someone not keeping down stuff that at this point that you should be able to... I was told if you're not able to keep stuff like that down to call the dr because u might have what's called a stricture which is a narrowing in your stomach that they'd have to do a scope and open it up. Please be careful and if you've upset you're new stomach it's probably really irritated and may take a few days to settle down. Either way if you're having issues your doctors are there for YOU. That's what our money pays for. Please be careful

I think you're right about the wanting to taste normal food thing. I don't find myself extremely hungry but I do get hungry. How much are you able to eat now a days? And 80lbs in three months is insane!!! How ever did you do that!?

I tried some fat free retried beans tonight... I mixed in some cheese and added a dab of sour cream... I will most definitely try the rotisserie chicken thing now and I might try some egg salad!! These three weeks can't be over soon enough!!!

I'm feeling great.. Still sore and tired but that's mostly because I don't sleep we'll in general. Today I haven't even taken pain meds. I'm down 13lbs since surgery... I have a question for you tho.. After your surgery did you feel hungry!? Did puréed stuff make you feel full?

I'm in the puréed stage and I can have egg whites or egg beaters if that helps any!

Man let me tell you the thought of pureeing meats is so off putting to me! And the idea of baby food disturbed me as well. I guess I shall live on eggs and ricotta cheese lol

I'm on day 8 and I can do puréed foods now!! ... Day 1-3 clear liquids... Days 4-7 full liquids.

I actually have an incision in my belly button. They didn't cover it after surgery with steri strips. When I was in the hospital the nurse came in on day two and was the only one to look at my incisions and counted only FOUR!! I was like I'm not sure but I think there should be five. She said nope she doesn't see it. We'll I came home and finally got to shower and felt like my belly button was super sore and puffed out more than usual (I've had my gal bladder removed and they went through my belly button). Low and below guess who found the fifth incision!!! Why would they leave it to be like that? So now I'm making sure to wash it everyday and I put a sterile gauze sponge in it since it's in my "roll". I see my doctor on the 9th. Till then nothing better happen!
