  1. When we talk about getting in 1100-1200 calories per day, are they talking about net calories (after activity and exercise) or gross calories. Because my gross is usually 1200, but my net after exercise is about 750.
  2. I started my journey at 330 pounds in June of 2013. I am now at 228 pounds. For about the last month I have been between 330 and 228 fluctuating every couple days. It does not seem like I can lose anymore weight. My doctor said that I should lose about 97 pounds within a year. I know I am ahead at 102 pounds but it gets frustrating when you don't lose anymore weight. 2 months ago when I went to see my doctor I told him I was at 1300 calories per day and he told me to up it 1500 calories. He said that someone my size should be getting at least 1500 calories a day. I was thinking that I might want to lower it down to like 1100 and see if that helps. Whenever I eat breas it is usually the Sara Lee 45 calorie per slice bread. Also on a 1300 calorie diet how many grams of sugar should I be eating and how many grams of fat should I be eating. Also how many carbs should I be eating. I am very strict and use My Fitness Pal. I am I always under my calorie count. Any help anyone can give would be appreciated to help me get over this style.

    I'm stuck.

I also walked on the treadmill for about two miles a day.
  4. I had my surgery in June of 2013. I have lost a total of 102 pounds. I started at 330 and am now at 228. For the past month I have been stuck at between 230 and 228. I am currently at 1300 calories. My doctor told me to go up to 1500 calories. I did that for about 2 weeks and it seems like that was the culprit. I recently put my calories back at 1300. It still does not seem to work. My weight is staying about the same. I still want to lose about 28 pounds to get down to 200 pounds. What should i do different? Any help would be appreciated.
  5. The doctor said that my size I should be eating 1500 calories. I eat a lot of Greek yogurt. I try to keep my fat per serving under 9 grams, carbs under 1 grams per serving.
  6. I am a male who will be 45 this year. I do dink water, but it usually has crystal lite in it. I get about the 64 this way. Does it have to be straight water or will this work?
  7. I was at 240 on my dr appointment day January 21st. Since I have only lost about 4 pounds. I told him I was eating 1200 Calories a day. He told me that was not enough told me to go to 1500. I did and ever since my weight loss is slow. I eat about 30% fat or 50 grams, 20% protein or 75 grams, 50% carbs or 180 grams. My sugar is about 60 grams. Do I need to go back to 1200 or am I at a plateau? Or do I need to lower fat, sugar, and carbs per day?
  8. I went to my doctor for my 6 month checkup on Jan 21st. At the appointment. I weighed in at 240
  9. I was wondering how many grams of fat, carbs, & protein I should be getting on 1450 calories?

    Calories & Exercise

So if i burn 400 through exercising, I should then increase my calorie intake to 1600 for that day to get my minimum of 1200.

    Calories & Exercise

I am luck i am losing 1lb a week. My net calories after exercise most days are about 800.
  12. Just curious. When I am told that I should have 1200 calories a day. If I am exercising, for example burn 300 calories, can I eat 300 additional calories(1500), to get me back to 1200 calories? I am 6.5 months out and now I eat 1200 calories and do not eat more if I exercise.
