Three Week Stall - How long does it last?
Lady Pink replied to Lady Pink's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you all for the input. I went down a pound outside of my 3 pound range. I'm hopeful today is the beginning of the end of my first stall! I really appreciate the support and laughs! -

Three Week Stall - How long does it last?
Lady Pink posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on Jan. 22 so I’m 3.5 weeks post-op. Up until Feb. 9th, I was losing weight at a pretty consistent rate. However, since the 9th, I’ve been bouncing up and down between 3 pounds. I have heard about and understand the science behind the 3 week stall. I also understand that my body is going under major changes but I’m afraid I’m doing something wrong with my food choices. If it is just a stall, how long do they usually last? I am starting to get discouraged. I know I wasn’t getting enough Water and Protein so I’ve been very conscientious about meeting the minimums over the last week or so. I have also been experiencing light-headedness. I have emailed my NUT but I don't think I'll hear from her until Tuesday. I figured I'd ask the experts in this group to see if you had any guidance. Thanks in advance for your help. -

I am 1 week post op and I think I have had trouble with the minuscule amount of caffeine in my sugar-free, fat-free chocolate pudding. I haven't had liquid caffeine in about 13 years but I ate chocolate a lot and was used to whatever caffeine was in there. Two separate nights I had the pudding and couldn't sleep for hours. Any one else find that? Am I crazy? Otherwise everything is going well but I can't wait to move to the next stage of food. I miss chewing!

Surgery 2 Days Ago
Lady Pink replied to Fourstarmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am four days out today and I couldn't have said it better than Fourstarmom. I feel so much better than I did on Day 2. I still have some gas pains but they are subsiding. I am on a full liquid diet and I've had pudding, Jello, a pudding pop and Protein drinks. I'm still not getting everything I need but I'm well on my way to getting there. The change in two days has been remarkable. We will get through this - even if it's one day at a time or even one minute at a time!! -

Surgery 2 Days Ago

OMG! I'm glad others are feeling like this. I had my surgery yesterday along with a hernia repair. The hernia was quite large and involved so I know I'm feeling different because of it but I'm freaking out about what I did to myself. I'm home tonight and really looking forward to a good night sleep. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. -

January 2014 Sleevers Come In!

I'm in Vienna, VA. My surgery is at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. I wish I had your preop diet. I'm so glad I've only got one more day of liquids. Where are you located? -

I've been lurking and figure it's time to get "involved". My surgery is scheduled for Jan. 22nd. I'm on Day 5 of my pre-op liquid diet and it's going ok. The afternoons are the worst. I am feeling all kinds of emotions - excitement, nervousness, anxiety, etc. It My friends and family have been so supportive. I am looking forward to getting some advice and info from the pros here and being in touch with others on the same timeline as me. Good luck everyone!
