Name some of the most difficult things you experienced after vsg surgery
Momonthego replied to isleeveinjesus's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
What are your constipation remedies? I take some meds (pres surg) that cause that now. I am worried about it getting worse. Help?? I am also hearing that I'm not big enough for wls, Bmi 40. I can loose weight, but it comes back plus more. I need that tool to work with! My BMI was 39.3 before surgery...I'm going into day 4 post op. The worst part to date was the drain. As soon as it was removed I felt a million times better -

I want to go skiing with my family and I'm participating in a medical mission in rural Guatemala next December and need to be in better shape than I am now.

January 2014 Sleevers Come In!
Momonthego replied to HipsAndLipstick's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
In 1 week I will be at the occ. I'm so excited!! A little nervous but not bad. I don't know how I will make it through the week at work. And as a added bonus, I get to leave the very disgusting amounts of snow we have and go to warmer weather. The countdown is on! -

the deciding reason for WLS
Momonthego replied to RJ'S/beginning's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My big thing is that my weight is going to kill me. I have 3 little kids that I need to be a mom for. I'm tired of being tired. Also tired of my weight being a barrier to try things with my kids because I'm too big. Lastly, I'm going on a volunteer mission next December. Right now I wouldn't be able to handle the long days. So I guess I have a threshold reason:) -
Dr. Ariel Ortiz- Does it HAVE to be Enspira?!?
Momonthego replied to KittyChick's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
It would...I'm planning to travel by myself so having to try out some shopping would be awesome. Or out in the sun -

If you have a blender making your own purées is a snap. It's important to make sure that veggies are cooked through. If you make a soup and blend it make sure to blend the meat separately to void chunks. I'm pre op made but all my own baby food for my kids. I know starches are a no no but a chicken or beef and frozen veg simmered in a broth actually tastes pretty good. My rule was if I wouldn't want to eat neither will my kids so I tried everything I made.

Hungry! (Pre-Op Diet)
Momonthego replied to Stacy_wls's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yup...pre op sucks. I'm on day 2 and my problem is the sweetness of the shakes even though there's no sugar added. Someone suggested unjury chicken broth which I'm ordering today. -

Where can you get the unjury protein mix? Sounds like something I should have on hand to make sure I get enough protein -
