    1-15-14

Finally, I can see the end of this journey and the beginning of another. I get sleeved on 1-15-14. Dr. Heibling, Bismarck ND. Any tips on day before and day of would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone else had a long ride once released from hospital. I will have around a 5 hour ride. I'll post pics day before surgery. I'm keeping a personal journal. So hopefully I can keep you guys updated, along with that. Anyone else getting sleeved that day?

Thanks guys, And good luck dharriot. I work night shift, so post from me are at random times. I was told to stop and walk a lot. The pillow thing sounds like a good idea. I almost did the full bypass, in 07. They told us we would be given belly buddies. Essentially very squishy stuffed animals. Wonder if this doc does it, never crossed my mind. Pre-op diet plus quitting smoking, has been tough. I'll make it tho.

    New here

Hello I am new here. Still preop doing the diet now. Surgery 1-15-14, question is last month I was diagnosed with thyroid disorder. I am now on levothyroxine (.125 mcg). Should I be worried about this or take it as an extra blessing? I lost 11 lbs before starting diet and now 6 more in three days. Thanks for any help
