Today is my six month anniversary -- Starting Weight: 231 Size: 18/20 Current Weight: 156 Size: 8 I haven't been on BP or diabetic meds since the day of my surgery!

I'm 9 weeks out from surgery. Since I started my pre-surgery diet 11 weeks ago, I've lost 50 pounds...but now I have stalled (again) for the last week. My hair is slowly falling out...even with Biotin. Overall, I'm happy. This is the best decision I have ever made for my health...just frustrated with the stall!!!!!

I'm just over three weeks out from surgery and I haven't lost a pound in more than a week. I'm following my liquid diet, still, and I'm working out twenty minutes a day on the treadmill. My calorie intake averages around 600/day. What am I doing wrong? I'm so frustrated...

I haven't been measuring. I should. Everyone else notices how much I've changed but I don't...

I'm right there with you -- third week and I'm seeing no movement. -
I'm exactly two weeks post-op. When I hit the treadmill, I can only take about 15 minutes at 2.5mph. I exit the treadmill feeling very "light headed." My calorie intake is averaging 500-600/day. My surgeon said I'm losing above average based on my starting weight (28lbs in a month). But I'm concerned about exercise... How much were you / are you able to exercise per day?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying not to be discouraged. -
Today is my one-week surgery anniversary. Praise The Lord, I had zero complications and never took a pain med after I left the hospital. I've been all over the place since three days post-op --- grocery shopping, salon, manicure --- and feel amazing! This is the BEST thing I've ever done for me or my family.

Atkins also has prepared meals in the frozen section. The carbs are low but watch the sodium.

Be happy -- I was on liquids for two weeks preop. Blah!
-
I had my sleeve yesterday -- no complications! My only complaint is dry mouth...waiting for my swallow test in order to get some ice chips. So excited!
-
I'm having my sleeve tomorrow. You all have been so inspirational with your before & afters. I can't wait to join you on the healthy side!
-
It's hard to believe that I'll be sleeved in just one week. I'm so ready for this healthy change! I'm 5'8" and down to 212.5 preop. A big concern for me at age 37, how do you deal with the excess skin? Any of you have suggestions? Is it an issue postoperative?

Writing myself ready for my sleeve on Tuesday -- anything you'd recommend I have at home for after surgery?
-
I'm 11 days pre-op and I can't stand these protein shakes with Unjury. I'm getting nowhere near enough protein. Any suggestions to make "full liquids" more tolerable?
-
That's my date as well -- congratulations!!!

I could use some as well. Please let me know if you have any luck. I'd be happy to pay shipping. -
I'm sixteen days from surgery and meet with my surgeon for the first time tomorrow. Any suggestions?
-
Any of you aware of on-line clothing swap site for bariatric patients? I'm 5'7, 223 lbs size 18 currently... I hate to buy a new wardrobe every time I drop a size.
-
That would be wonderful, thanks!

Looks like my surgery will take place on January 28th. The two week liquid diet begins next Monday. Any advice? So excited, but scared, to make this lifestyle change.

I absolutely believe in prayer. Thank you. I've observed the board for months but never logged in. The support you all show for each other is truly awe inspiring.

How did you all deal with the preparation? I still want to be social and have lunch with friends. I'm comfortable only having water while they eat. But how do you make others be comfortable around you? I have a great circle of friends and an awesome family. I just don't want to make them feel awkward or that it's wrong for them to enjoy a meal in front of me.
