HI Ya'll! I am Terri and I was banded on JUNE 9. I have done very well except for this gas im holding in my left shoulder. I know this will work out.........literally..TEEHEE! It is occurring to me..I am on my way to a skinnier.....healthier me. I find myself looking at magazines.,and seeing clothes and thinking..I CAN WEAR THAT SOON! Hey ruthie,, i think you and I were banded on the same day or somewhere near there. I was banded JUNE 9. I got my first fill yesterday and already I feel a difference. You have lost more than I have,.,,I have lost 17..so FEEL GOOD about that. Look forward to getting home and getting a fill. I can imagine the situation with your mom is terribly hard. That alone..is enough to get you down hearted. Please..do your best to keep your chin up. I think we all have heard,..and experienced the dead area...pree fill..post op. I have gotten down also..so I know where you are about the weight loss battle. We are all here for you..and always here to listen...YOU WILL BE OK!! We will get this weight OFF!! 278/259/not sure yet

HI... I too was banded on JUNE 9.. FLowers..I am right here with you on this. I will get my first fill on FRIDAY...I have been down..too..,.and these boards are the only thing that have kept me sane. How do ppl live without the boards? I feel "normal" now. The only thing that keeps me from binging...is ME. I think I could eat whatever..I havent tried it ..tho. I agree..someone should tell us this. In the back of my mind..tho..im afraid of Friday..them weighing me and AGAIN..not measuring up..ya know? I see ppl losing 30 lbs in the first month or more..I have lost about 16. COME ON FRIDAY@

I am in the in between time , too. I was banded JUNE 9, 2005. At the beginning I was dropping lbs so fast. Now..the scale just sits there. I have been told this is normal till a fill. It is just so hard. I keep thinking..ONCE again..im failing. I know this is messed up thinking..but I do know your fear. I am fearing the same things. I still have a few weeks till I get a fill. I am trying to keep my chin up!! I hope you do the same.

HI everyone., I was banded JUNE 9, 2005. I was losing a pound a day for two week, sometimes even more. All of the sudden at 2 weeks this stopped. I have even gone up 2 lbs. I am eating no more than 900 calories a day. I am walking. How can this be? It is sooo discouraging, and makes no sense to me. Your advice would be appreciated. I know the basic chemistry of weight lost...and its NOT that time of the month.

HI all..Yesterday was one week that I have been banded. As of this morning I have lost 11 lbs! I know this wont continue..for as of now..Im happy to see the numbers getting smaller. I do have to say tho.,I am feeling a lot of hunger. Well..its either hunger of reflux since i found out pre -surg that i have GERD and a hiatal hernia. Also......I was diagnosed with pneumonia on the sunday after surgery as I reported on here. Anyone know what i can do to kill this hunger?? Ten min after i eat a shake.....it starts again..ARGHH! My stats:279/268/not sure of goal..right now..250 is my minii goal

I know some of you might subscribe to more than one message board like i do. Has anyone else noticed that Spotlight Healths message board wont load anymore?? It says ERROR. This is very disheartening for me. I have friends there that that is the only place we communicate.THis has been going on since the weekend.

I miss it so. This forum is wonderful too..tho! On yahoo..there is BandsterRecipes as a group that I like, and there is always Obesity Help. It has a message board ,also. As far as the Ashton job,,I wish i knew too! I miss my friends there and I hope the board is up soon. I will tell you this ,,tho. Last week I checked that board and it had a completely diff look for about 15 min. Maybe there were testing a format?? A warning would have been nice..tho.

true true... I am doing the healing. Im following docs advice and trying to get my protein in. The pounds lost are exciting no matter whennnnn they come off. Im realistic tho..this will be followed my no loss...but thts all part of this I guess. Im just enjoying my little daily victories. Its nice to have somewhere to tell them!! I did my research online and read books. I went straight to the surgeon.
