Plus if u dont do it you will be very sick more than likely. you want to liive right? That is a reason to do this if no other reason exist.. You will be off medications etc etc
-
we have all done it for the most part .. you will do it.. Yes they need to get that liver down so they can move it around.. it makes the surgery easier.. Chris

OK .. I have a home in Texas as well as in Boston.. Its a retirement home on Lake Livingston... Its your Life do what will make u happy.. yes people can be mean and heavy people are discriminated against terribly.. Its amazing now how I have noticed it now that i am thin Chris

Add me as a friend and whatever you need send me a message. Im on here almost every night late like this casue i work the overnight shift. Where r u from >? Chris

Dont listen to what " OTHERS SAY" Its your life. You want to be happy.. I get it. At 19 you have your whole life in front of you. At 5'3 you should probably want to get to 125-140 lbs,, Thats definately obtainable in a year's time max. What I am saying with the sleeve like any of the surgeries you still need to do it. Follow the plan. Be aware there are plateaus. Be aware you have to work out etc etc.... Its not magic. I lost 200lbs in 10 months ,, Im done losing and it is amazing. A new life even though im 45 . I was only heavy for like 5 years. I gained a ton when my dad died. Now im back to normal.. At your age i dont blame you for wanting it done. With all the pressure from other young adults to look good etc etc. I get it! i really do

Your in hospital 2-3 days provided no complications. You will be walking the same day after surgery and you need to walk a lot to get the gas out .. That is where the discomfort comes in .. You are in no real pain other than the excess gas which the only way to get rid of is walking. Then from there is is just a day at a time. No I dont blame you for wanting the surgery and it is certainly not the LAZY way out!! No way. it takes work no matter what .. Chris

no.. i mean i was fine after a few days.. your more tired than anything cause of low calorie intake. You must be borderline BM! approval then.. 5'3 200lbs isnt awful off the charts. I can understand you being on the fence. I would try and just lose it on your own if you dont get approved in place of paying big bucks to have it done. Your bmi is 35.4,, Your right on the edge. How old r u? reminder it is a lifestyle change and the surgeon gives you a tool to fix it. so you look so young i bet you can JUST DO IT> No Pun intended. I support you either way and i know many others on here would feel the same.. we r behind u Chris

recovery is quick. within days your up and around.. u would probably need 2-3 weeks off.

what r your specifics./ weight , height??

Preop rollercoaster...nerves of steel needed
Christian Zaccone replied to Band2Sleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh yeah. Any good program makes you go through all the hoops to make you prepared. I have met several people on here that have not had to go through all the hoops ans are having a real hard time eating right etc etc and will not have success unfortunately. So having all the hoops to jump through is worth it. -
Preop rollercoaster...nerves of steel needed
Christian Zaccone replied to Band2Sleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lets put it this way.. My surgeon wont touch the band anymore cause of the failure rate. Thats just my surgeon.. Now with that said if u dont do something you will regain weight. Though bottom line is with the sleeve you can still regain the weight if not committed to lifestyle change. Its the best thing i have ever done and would not look back. Have the surgery and save your life. Chris -

9 months out and with no problem i drink 30 ounces on my drive to work which takes 50 minutes.. so you will have no problem drinking as fast as you want after a short time. -
Do you have reflux now? Never have? Gerd?
Christian Zaccone replied to lylabelle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Its the most common side effect of the sleeve... I never had it and now i do.. but its controllable.. for me i have learned if i eat dont ever ever lay down for at last 1 hour if not WICKED WICKED reflux!!! So its been like 9+ months since surgery and i just follow that rule and it is like clock work.. Luckily I have only had it 4 times and it all happens if i eat and lay down to quickly.. Hope this helps. PLus you should be taking some sort of Pepcid. Chris -

Liquid Diet Headache and Nausea
Christian Zaccone replied to Moni_0330's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
i tell u all drs are different.. Mine only required 3 days of liquid diet. id check you may need something small.. But don't just do it on your own cause if you mess up or eat if they don't want you to o even smoke they can and very well will cancel your surgery. So i would call and ask them.. ask about popsicle's that might help chris -
I am 10 months out. At goal weight. Been absolutely as perfect as one can be on my program. Im not a drinker.. Never have been but i do miss that once in a while mixed drink with my friends or wife. I would like some peoples input on this... Im not meeting with dietician for another 6-8 weeks for my last checkup and they originally said no BOOZE for a year but im seeing a lot of people drinking after several weeks which i would never do.. SO please looking for input if its ok to say have 1 drink every other week and account for the calories of course. Chris
