I have Dr Warnock! My drain came out the day I was released from the hospital. I was able to drive after I stopped taking the pain meds. Post op appointment was 3 days after surgery and I have another on the 30th

My surgery was open. I had my gallbladder removed at the same time, hospital stay was 2 nights which wasn't bad. I will say that I hurt so bad after coming home and up to a week and a half after surgery I was incredibly sore. Now I am two weeks post op today and feel amazing, I woke up 3 days ago feeling great and have ever since. I heard the success rates are always better with open only because they can see everything that's going on in there. I had internal stitches and 35 staples, all my staples were removed before I came home though. Only thing so far is I absolutely hate the scar I'm going to have, but its a small price to pay to be healtht for my babies

I am 3 days post op and still so very sore. I had the open RNY so I didn't expect to bounce back so fast, but my ribs are hurting so bad I feel like I've been hit by a car! I have my follow up today so hopefully I get to go home to my own comfy bed -
Oh my I will definitely be trying that! My ribs are killing me from hiccuping so much my dr did tell me sometime when you have stomach spasms it'll make you hiccup. I've had terrible spasms and was told I was even hiccuping while I was on the ventilator which isn't common
-
Unfortunately I am not able to drink just yet. I had an open RNY done so the hiccups make me feel like they're ripping my insides out...I also had my gallbladder removed, so that's a weird coincidents!

I had surgery this morning and I've had the most horrible hiccups since! They said I started hiccuping while I was on the ventilator. Anyways who has so idea om trying to stop them! I'm more painful than walking!

Anyone with Humana?

I have Tricare and I believe it is part of Humana just a different region. I am just at 40 BMI and have no co-modalities. I do have a bad back and physcial therapy only made it worse so my dr referred me without a problem to see my surgeon in TX. I went in without any documents other than my back. I had my first appointment in September. By October I was approved by tricare for surgery. I had my nutrition class and a few blood test done recently and my surgery is now scheduled for the 13th of thid month. I hope its as easy for you!
