Uh, yeh, i was curious cause i was hearing its 20-30min is this true?

Hey, everyone this will be my last post. I've been researching more and generally found out that the doctor wants me to go on gastric bypass. I was trying to fight for lapband but it seems aetna will cover gastric more, so im going to look into that more. I wanted to say all of you were hilarious and a great forum people. I'll miss ya'll. Maybe months later i'll post pics of before and after :-P. Thanks to everyone's advice and hope everything turns alright for everyone's healthier future!

Last week and im busting my arse and im so stressed n tired but my work is coming along GREAT! Today, I get to go to the Doctor who has to Ok the surgery first and may put me on a diet so it can be recently recorded and given to insurance, uber excited, TTYL!

People its psychological. Its one thing to be without band and know u can have anything while being banded puts a restriction and a psychologically aura that u crave things u never ate before... dont worry about it... ur not missing out... i try to stop drinking soda and once a week i cheat and it never tastes THAT good, meh.

omg good luck! i have aetna too and will be going to the doctors for them to Ok the operation and then the insurance but it should cover it! can't wait till those days ttyl!

im doing a photo shoot today for a photographer on morbidly obesity, yes im going nude, and NO i have never done this before although i drew naked people, its for a museum/exhibit piece and our photos will have displayed a couple of lines that we put on a questionairre about how we feel about our bodies... My body is temporary like all things in life...not really nervous just excited...Plus, once i get the band i want this to be a reminder that even though I may have been bigger i should have respect and love myself regardless...ok...leaving now...ttyl!

Hey i just got home, so the photo shoot went really well. it was done by a guy named Sandro,,,please check his work www.sandrofilm.com he does REALLY great photos too, so basically he introduced me to a couple of people and was really really nice. So he told me to go in and change, cause i brought a robe and as i was getting undressed omg i did feel a little nervous but more excitement than anything. So he comes back and tells me to take the robe off and to stand on this one stand where his assistant was nearby but he wasnt watching me hehe. So then he took a couple of pics to get a lighting feel, and then began the 7 min photo shoot. As i was standing there i was looking around the huge studio, and im like omg what the F$*# am i doing here? hehe but really i was just excited, so then it was over, got dressed and we had talked. I do voices and showed it to them and he was laughing, and one of his assitants gave me a number to model managment that also does voice work, so i will call them. I filled out a questionnaire and he told me about another project he would want me to be in which i will be in too, today was a learning experience and a OMG really did that?! haha he will send pics and it will also be in a book. The photo will have me and my answers to what i wrote about my body, and it will be displayed near or around my body in the picture but my face will be blurred so no worries. He told me i was really good and that i was the first man to do this, Reference to like bigger men but i was excited, cause he siad other men were more sensitive about their body than women, i had done this around 9 30 am this morning, I feel good and my mom and family were all surprised and happy for me hehe What a thing to put on a resume, eh?

U will be ok, cause i believe it, My prayer will be answered...

HI ya'll, sorry about not being on too much. June 17 is the end of everything for my quarter at school and got upteen projects to finish up before then, like 1000 frame animation for finals, 5 part project for my character Pogo, the blue kanagaroo, lol anyway my mom emailed aetna and told her that they would have to check with the doctor to see if it's good for me?! HEHE im soo excited, im confident Aiden will find this surgery healthy for me, although she likes to stress exercise, i walk a lot but my eating habits suck, i dont drink coke, but only once in a while, but i tend to overeat anything, hell i'll overeat a salad, but my find has been fixed with this so, im not always eating junk food, but then again we're in America, what do you expect? So I will see if i can print out as much information as possible, and try to compare, gastric to lapband, and talk about all the pros and cons about it. But at least aetna didnt say flat out that they couldnt cover, they just said to see with the doctor if its good for me, I mean come on, if smaller people can get it why can't I? I just want a little help with this... How would you convince the My doctor that it would be right for me, and a better alternative. I once knew a friend that had gastric bypass but she wasn't that fat looking before, but whatever, Thx in advance for the help, i won't be home until after 8 or 9 ... got class late...ttyl!

yeh ive cut soda from my eating habits and only maybe once in a while do i have one. I had white castle yesterday...ugh...i won't miss it :-P

Well today im going to the seminar at 5pm today and uber excited! The only question is that I'm wondering how far apart from the seminar that they look into insurance cause im hoping insurance covers it all or at least a good chunk of it. It probably won't be until we set up a separate appointment to see the doctor. I heard my doctor is actually good so im excited, even my underweight friend is coming with. We're going to say it's for him :-P. I'm glad i got my best friend buddy's support!

lol not to laugh but the whole not telling anyone sounds like being gay and not coming out...dont be afraid just be proud. I plan on telling my friends but not that many. If they ask i'll tell them, but i won't brag...when and if i get the surgery...

Well, this sound stupid but im going to say it anyway. I know i'm not a bandster yet but i was at mcdonalds with my college buddy, Shane. He ate a big mac and large size fry and coke... I had the 5 piece chicken selects with a regular fry and powerade...i love powerade...and shane always said that he couldnt do without coke....i can...and did at one point in my life...now i drink coke if im celebrating but im trying to think like a bandster. Oh btw dont fret go to mcdonalds and get that delicious fruit and walnut salad...ABSOLUTELY Delicious! I could see myself eating that every morning...yum yum yum But if ur in the need to eat mcdonalds i say BUY IT and SMELL IT and TASTE IT in ur mouth even CHEW IT but then SPIT IT out. Once u get the juice going and the smell thats all it really is. Think of it as being able to "eat" but not swallowing it. This sounds a little creepy but when i was younger i always wished i could take two bites of something and be filled instead having to eat a whole plate full of food. I even remember even when i was full i would put food in my mouth and chew and act like i was going to eat it but then spit it out ...it was like not eating and getting bigger...idk that was when i was like 10 years old lol. But dont worry i'm eating the foods everybody wants and it aint all that. Food is over rated.... Seriously, Smells of food drive me more crazy than tastes and think of it like this, You probably had your fair share of foods. Hell i've ordered dinners my life when i was younger , went to restaurants all the time. so i've had the red lobster, father and son, benningans, chili's, chinese places, mexican places...and after awhile the love dies. I eat something now and think will i TRULY MISS THIS FOOD. I mean come on you don't live forever and think of it like this. Wouldn't u want to have the band and take life like everyday was ur last because the band wouldnt be a big burden. I know that i will stick to the band once i have it. I got a meeting next Tuesday and Uber excited.... sorry for the long post but i thought i would throw in how i felt. Trust me... eating "anything" is fun for that time but after ur wishing u never ate anything like that. It's ur nature to "gorge" on foods that are "fatty" cause that is what ur lifestyle was used to and its hard for some people to change. Stay confident and eat that soup. Remember, you'll lose ur weight and feel better that not eating foods like that will be worth it in the end. Good luck!!!

I have my seminar next week and really excited to learn even more, and when i do get it and maybe a year down the line i want to go on the Maury Show! Come on people older bandsters meet up and show off what ya lost...it's definitely made for tv!

Hey it's CollegeJoe, yes im still here and still looking up on the boards...but i was jw if i have the band will i be able to feel ok when i drink water. I dont have the band yet but i know u cant drink too much at one time but im a person when working out constantly sips water cause my throat can get very dry... so i was wondering if anyone can answer that for me!
